If anyone wants/needs the letter size boot, here it is:

IM_robo3687_foot_Letter_unfolded_by_Pilot.pdo

The only changes I made were to split some of the larger pieces up so they'd fit on our scrawny American paper. The geometry is identical otherwise.

Robo, I can't remember if I've thanked you yet for all your hard work - thanks! :cool:thumbsup

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - foot in first post-details last page

okay guys - i got pics of my test peice here. im wondering if its too big tho... i taped the pep file down to a sheet of cardboard - kind of like posterboard but a bit thicker i think (they came from an older mobo box) - then simply followed the lines to cut against. the doteed lines for folding were also cut over in some areas alowing me to fold it, and the folding tabs were completely cut out.

its a sharkhead if any ones wondering

You shouldn't need a paid version of the program. You can scale it but you just cant save it.
As for scaling.... ive never really done it and im still pretty new at this so sorry

@MightyJohn, I was rummaging through my garage and came across a container of Wel-Cote brand All Purpose Joint Compound. Is that pretty close to what you use?

And for color combos, what do you guys use? I was looking at Wal-Mart and thought about getting Krylon brand Cherry Red and Rust-Oleum brand Metallic Gold. What do you guys think?

I found a paint place who sells auto paint for like less than $30 a quart. Plus I can get an exact match off HotToys bust or figures for the red and gold.

At default scale of the pep boots, what shoe sizes can we put inside the pepped boots? My shoe size is 10 1/2, and we know that shoes are longer than a human feet.

sure thing

yep they have somewhere around 3 inches of lift

i do have a piece for that, which I'll get out today, but some people may prefer to fab their own...

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - foot in first post-details last page

well at the default scale i am able to get my foot in there with plenty of room to spare and i wear a 10-10 1/2, there is about a half an inch on the sides and about an inch in front of my foot. that is bare foot

As long as it's not dried up, it should work.

As for colors...I used the Rust-Oleum Metallic "Pure Gold". The last Red I posted was Rust-Oleum "Regal Red" Enamel.

I picked up some Rust-Oleum "melot" enamel today (went to Lowes to see a change of colors). I should finish the left Shoulder Bell in a few days, and I'll post that color then (haven't a clue if it's good).

I did a dropper take-off from a movie poster. I got multiple colors for the red...
Light - "Old Brick"
Medium - "Falu Red"
Dark - "Persian Plum"

I didn't check the gold

Are you going to place your bare feet or shoes? If shoes, then I guess we have to find out the right scale. I am guessing scale is somewhere around 28.
I am planning to put my shoes and glue it inside.

I was just going to put the memory foam padding in mine after it is all resin and done the way i wanted it to look. then I was also going to wear some thick black socks with it too to help keep it snug and comfortable.

I know that some of these files have been converted to PDF format, but could someone be ever so kind and create an updated PDF version with all of the pieces? WITH robo's permission of course!

I have been building this up, and it is fantastic, thank you robo for all of your hard work and generosity!

Thanks!

Someone posted in another thread (don't remember who) the screen used colors were from House of Color. For Iron Man MK III was used the Brandy Wine and for Iron Man 2 MK IV, MK VI the Wild Cherry.

I can't find the gold color yet.

I'm jumping between the two forums... I didn't know where I leave my head.... :p

Thanks Stark1138!! But what about gold??

Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - foot in first post-details last page

I don't think this was mentioned anywhere in this forum, but I was wondering if anyone knew what a good scale is for a guy that is around 69 inches tall. From what I did i got a scale factor of 23.244669. Can anyone tell me if this is accurate?
