Re: robo3687's Iron Man 2 Pep Files - foot in first post-details last page
So one last question.. if i scale each individual piece, will everything fit together?
Also is there a way to tell which way is the width, depth, and height on the 3d view?
another example: if you want to scale the file that has the whole arm, you can't measure your straight arm and get the right scale. you need to bend your arm the same way it is bent in the file and measure from the highest point to the lowest point - vertical (not from shoulder to wrist).
It looks like Robo set everything up as you would think. top to bottom is height. left side of body to right side of body is width and front of body to back of body is depth.
Everyone is different. Ex: My wife and I are the same height, but when we sit down, I'm over an inch taller. My torso is longer or her legs are longer.
So if you want it to fit comfortably, you'd scale (or fine tune) every piece. And each change should be some-what similar (ratio-wise) to each other.
Some pieces needed to be scaled together, like the chest, back, brace and collar pieces. Those pieces needed to be scaled by a '"factor" to ensure proper scaling.
EDIT: Now that I've typed this, I'm not sure if Robo reset the H,W,D for the individual arm pieces...they might be still set in the "Full Arm" location (I haven't made those files yet). That might be your problem.
EDIT AGAIN: I went though most of the files and noticed that the Forearm is still on the angle of the "arm file", but everything else should be normal (except: hands are flat and hand plates are vertical).
Files always open in the same way (you are always looking at the front/left). Look at the chest file for proper H,W,D.
I'm sure Robo will clear it up for us.
