But I really,really want to know what material are you using for the lens?Also,where can I print the suit and can it send to other countries?

Hey Redtogusa, which wetsuit sock did you buy and did you glue it inside the suit? Or did you just fit it in the suit and glue the foot portion onto the shoe?

I think it was an O'Neill neoprene sock, something like this: O'Neill Heat Socks Boots Wetsuit Oneill Surf Kiteboarding Wetsuit 2012 oneill heat socks boots 2mm 5/3 Black Steamer Double Lined Wetsuit Neoprene Kitesurf Kiteboard Kite Surf Safety Gear News Review - Powerkiteshop
I didn't glue the sock in directly but when I glued the shoe in the glue from that seeped through the lycra onto the sock and held it all together. Kind of a sock shoe sandwich.

Oh yeah for sure. If you don't stretch it out enough your gonna have problems. Still, at the end of the day I would recommend painting it before sewing, it's just easier, simpler and you will always get a better finish.
Hmm, I was unaware that you needed a sock. Guess you learn new things every dayAnyway, I have to get my suit sewn before I puff paint. Do you need to invest in a mannequin to actually do the painting?

What kind of glue did you use? Barge? Shoe Goo? Something else? And how is it holding up so far?

This is looking awesome! I just wanted to see if you could give a little more detail as to how you modded the face shell. I bought this same mask for this purpose but am at a loss as to how to mod it. You said you used bondo to fill it. (the squares formed by the urethane webbing I assume) Did you do anything for the inside rubber padding? What about the eyes? The holes seem too big for the lenses at a glance and also a bit more raised than the webbing. Sorry for so many questions, I'm just crazy to try this out.

Just hot glue Nick, I swear by it. Had no problems yet. Has held up really well whilst running round for a couple hours.
What ever I had to hand. Large poster tubes for the arms, larger ones for the legs and made some small tubes out of card board for the fingers.
I'm pretty sure your talking about a different toy mask. Mine is a Disney one bought in Disney land. It has no rubber padding on the inside, and the webbing is just plastic, not urethane.
I know the mask your talking about and I'm afraid to say, personally, I wouldn't have bought it for a face shell. Like you said there's a problem with the eye size, it's also a pretty thick mask which makes it hard to work with and the inside rubber padding is gonna hurt your face a whole lot once under the Lycra mask.
That being said I'm sure it's adaptable, it'll just take quite a bit of work. The webbing looks easy enough to remove, making the mask more flat. The inside padding looks easy enough to remove to. You'll need to cut/sand down the hard plastic structure below it and replace the padding with something that'll not hurt so much.
Don't quote me on that though, just guessing.

I glued the sole first to keep it in place, then glued all the edges.
The sock isn't vital but it deffinately makes it easier to attach the shoe and gives the whole thing the boot look the movie version has.

You MUST be an artist! You have def taken your time to make all the lines perfect! Great control! Great line quality (thick and thin)! Nice gradient at the bottom of the red abs too! The back and the front look so freakin awesome! I think this is the best one I've seen!

Hey I was curious as to how much of the foam you cut out of the asics. I cut out the tanish-white foam near the top but not the grey-ish foam near the bottom of the heel. Did you cut that out as well?

Yup, scooped out the whole lot, that way you can get the costume flush with the shoe. Plus you won't get this annoying lumpy bit digging into the back of your heel. The neoprene sock also makes up for a lot of the comfort lost by taking out the padding in the heel.

Alright thanks. I wasn't sure if I took too much out that it would damage the shoe at all or mess up the shape or structure.
