Real Ghostbusters Samhain headsculpt/costume

Just awesome... One of the best (or THE best) Halloween costumes...

Man, hopefully I never meet you in the woods at night with this costume...

Well done... (y)thumbsup:thumbsup

Here's our first quickie test video of the costume put together. It started raining as soon as I was geared up, so we had to make it fast.

I'm looking down too much through the mouth and bending my back rather than tilting my head up.... I'll have to work on that. An the cowl needed to be bent up more in the back.

The length looks good, but we need something on the sleeves to keep them from riding up over the hands. We are also working on the final shoulder cloak attachement, as well as cuting the back opening longer, and adding its attachement hardware.

All in all, a good 1st test run.

We pretty much have all the costume items resolved (we think) and will do another test outside tomorrow, assuming the weather permits. its hard not to growl "Ghossssbusssterssss" when wearing it!

Looks great! Having to look down is common in a mask that distorts your FOV. We're used to being able to see our feet a lot when we walk... then there's the long robe that you're trying to be careful not to trip over and the terrain... which isn't exactly flat.

So awesome! looked great before but the cowl and pose just sell it! Let it get dark outside and give it some nice creepy lighting and it'll scare the bejesus out of anyone!

looks creepy, cool and very creative.

seems like it will be a little difficult to see out/through the mask, still amazing

Yeah, originally I hadn't intended it to really be worn at all... but I looked at the proportions, and managed to make the space in the head large enough.

You see out of the mouth, and the opening is fair sized.

I did make a few tweaks in the past few days.

The collar is now angled up in the front, and the arms are now glued at proper angles for prop display. Getting the arms to glue was proving to be a problem, but finally super glue gel resolved them slowly sagging over time.

I ended up adding removable eyes to him.. the blank eye sockets kept buging me, and this looks closer to the cartoon version.

No worries at all! I'm probably going to do a 12" version of samhain, to go with the matty 12" figures.
