Randy Cooper 38" Star Destroyer Kit

I agree with Jedi Dade. I think it is an optical illusion because there is still surface detail that needs to be added. Also, I think if the transparent plexi was primed, you would not notice it as much. I for one am looking forward to getting mine.

Oh yes I see now,

There's plenty of detailing left that will cover that thick edge.

FYI,

Randy said he is not finished with that area yet.
There will be detail strips added along the edges. the "overhang".
While it may not be as thin as some would like,..it does have to be molded and cast,...it would be about half as thick as the plex.

Some new pics up that address the edge detail question - AND a surpirsing detailed RBR ioncluded! Awesome! Whay am I surprised - I shouldn't be Randy's work is awesome!

Check out the new pic on his blog.........you have to admit, when Randy shoots his creations with primer.............they EXPLODE with detail!!!! Breathtaking indeed!

So when do we start thinking about the display cases for this monster? Be cool to have appropriate scaled SW ships displayed with it.

Since this kit comes with a mini Tantive IV model included...........I'd love to design a display case so the tantive could be displayed slightly in front of and below the SD. That would really be cool :) It might have to be displayed at an angle inside the case. Any ideas???

Dave :)
