Randy said he would have some new pics this weekend, but I havent seen them yet.

He said the parts he has been working on lately have not been photo worthy. Mostly refining detail areas, I.E. sides of buildings and side trench details.

I assure you he has not taken an early retirement with the pre-order money.
(We decided that when that time came we would set the pre-order limit at 100):lol

I can say first hand that Randy IS still working hard on the SD- I got to see Randy and his SD in person this past weekend. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with his latest creation!

There are some new pics up there now. He's worked onthe side trenches and pretty much finished the superstructure... Looks pretty good although I think I'll redo some of the side trenches on mine once I get it. I've got some great reference for the side trenches and think I can whip up something Not that his don't look good...

How what will work? If you go through all of the pics you can tell he's already got quite a few of the pieces cast.

My guess was that the plexi section will be divided in half, the bottom would be a thin piece of trim to reduce the apperant thickness of the plexiglass top, and the top half would be all those small details. you can kind of see what i mean by looking at the pic in the link...

"If" he going to construct it the way I think - There are some edge detailing peices that still mount to the plexi pieces. The edge detailing will maker it look like the plexi is aobut 1/2 the thickness if my guess is correct about how he's gonna do it... but yeah it does look thick at the moment.
