I think the whole apes taking over thing was something devised last minute by the original movie makers because they saw $$$ in making sequels. I thought it was cool if the apes had developed over millions of years after mankind had become near-extinct.

As soon as I heard that they were making a prequel I was like wow thats going to suck. Granted I hate the idea about a prequel to such a movie but after watching the trailer I hated the idea a tad less(looks interesting but not great). Still don’t understand how it comes to this though.I’m pretty sure with our guns,tanks,and planes we could kill them all.

God please give mankind more ideas for movies because I am sick of prequels,sequels,& reboot/remakes!!!!!

I remember reading a while back that the Virus that makes the apes smarter also has the nasty side effect of killing off a good amount of the human race.

I imagine that would help even the odds just a bit.
