Predators - Royce Costume

Interesting... I still would like to buy the AA-12 pouch from them as opposed to have it recreated myself. Again, if they used the stuff I and John posted, would have just been nice to see a little credit or an inbound link for the work we put into it.
 
You are right, Art. We all research to help each other and we share what we find, at least in this thread. By the way, Bikewagon on ebay said they were going to send me the G Bravos with the "Giro" on the index finger!

I know in advance you and I aren't going to agree on this point, but I just picked up some new gloves as well, a discontinued Giro Bravo in "Acid Green." I really think this is the glove Royce is wearing and while it wouldn't seem like it initially, i believe with the right dye job it will end up looking closer than the grey/black gloves. Just my thoughts.

That´s a reasonable possibility, but do you think that the dye will "bite" on the elastic fabric and the rubber yellow logo? I have not experience with dies. Please Art, post pictures after you experiment on the gloves.
 
I looked at these with Art this evening. I think that if we remove the grey from the one glove and replace it for the white on the other, as well as remove the plastic piece with the yellow logo for the one on the grey glove, I think we will have this right for him. We looked at a number of pics together and I believe that is what they did.
 
Hahaha... Since I already have the acid gloves and the grey, I think I am going to take Kristen's suggestion and combine the two together and see what we get.
 
Two more things for those who will be getting an AA12. I am very confident the sling is a Milspex M60 / M249 Padded Machine Gun Sling and the adapter to mount it to the stock of the AA-12 is a Viking Tactics MK3 Buttstock Adapter. I am ordering one of each and will let you know when they come in if they are indeed the correct pieces.

I can't believe it but I think I may actually have Royce about 80% complete for Comic Con! I should have virtuallly everything but the pistol and machete. The pants will be blue (still haven't been able to get charcoal) and the shotshell panels won't be the final version, but it will be better than nothing!

WOO-HOO!!!!! He's actually considering wearing a costume that isn't 100% screen accurate (yet) just because it looks cool at a convention! I'm about to shed a tear like a proud parent. *sniff*

Honestly, I didn't think I was going to have one major component in time so I have somewhat slacked off... and then yesterday I got the news that I would have it so I HAVE to do it, complete or not... cause it will be just too awesome not to do it! It still pains me that the costume won't be complete, but that is my fault.
 
The AA12 is out of my range.
Just for trivia, this is one of the few pictures when you can see the light gray palm almost unalterd on the Giros. On other takes it seems they were weathered or dyed black.

Another frame I found a couple of minutes ago showing the light gray palm. The little piece of black rubber present on the bottom of the charcoal/black Giros can be seen. Otherwise it should be the color of the glove (ie red, yellow, blue) Of course this is just my point of view. A blueray capture would be far better.

augo, what part of the movie is the first screencap from? I'll try to get both from the blu ray tomorrow.
 
It´s a group shot Art, may be when they find the monoliths or when they see the sky full of moons/planets.
