PREDATOR 3.0

You are flying on this one. Can't wait to see how it turns out though. I love following your threads. Amazing work man!

Great work man i've been following a lot of your threads too and there;s amazing improvement from sculpt to sculpt so i cant wait to see this finished.

Thanks everybody for your comments! I have been slaving over this thing again today. I got all the texture roughed into the right side, and finished more of the back. Thanks for looking!

I love seeing other peoples progress threads, this thing is awesome. I hope to one day be able to produce stuff that looks this good.

Ok i got back to work on this head and its nearly done. I got all the face basicaly done, aside from some minor clean up. The mandables are a work in progress, and i need to add texture to the back of the head and the neck. Comments are always appreciated, thanks for looking.

Sweet, good job brother. you are flying through this head. I'm sure you'll be done by October at this rate.

how much bigger is this head going to be? i am also assuming that your gonna make a bio to fit it?

either way looks great

Damn, brother, that is looking SICK! How deep did you end up going on those dread holes? Great idea and logic, by the way...

I will post up a comparison once its done. What im doing is using the origional wang/rosengrant bio as refrence and sculpting it the same size. Once they latex shrinks it will be roughly 10% smaller than the origional. So basicaly when im done with all this suit, it will be aproximatly 7 feet tall, about 10% smaller than the origional pred. So it should be exacly in perportion to the body size.... im hopeing.

Just curious, what clay are you using? I need to start looking for a really good sculpture clay for my 1/1 Spock bust in the near future. Looks like what you are using is perfect for what I need. What I have is too stiff and a pain in the ass for sculpting. I use it for support, etc. Thanks.

Chavant NSP medium is what i sed for this. It can be pretty stiff to but warming it up softens it alot.

Ok i added some ears, did some detail on the neck and head. Its basicaly done, aside from some minor clean up and smoothing. I am waiting for a day thats a little cooler and im gonna mould this puppy. And Darth Pinhead, the holes are about an inch deep to an inch and a half. I would make them deeper but i think that the mould peices would become to brittle being long cylinders like that. I dont think they will hold the dreads alone but they will provide much more surface area to glue too and fit alot beter.

My new favorite P1 A question, is Chavant nsp soft or medium is inclined to crack when its dry,or shrink? Of course in my country no shops selling Chavant,so i use normal air dry clay mixed with baby bath oil
