Pepsi is making Pepsi Perfect? BTTF

You know, I was wondering...
I think most of us are in their thirties right?

Did anyone see themselves running after a bottle of soda that many years later, when we saw the movie for the first time as kids LOL

Here's a question for those with a bottle in hand... Does that clear cylinder seem to be liquid-tight at the bottom? So if you displayed your bottle on a shelf indefinitely, and one day the bottle leaked, would the cylinder contain the leak and prevent the Pepsi from getting all over the place?

From today's NYCC.

Who will be the hero to put the first pic with the cap opened?
That's BTTF history right there[emoji41].
Not even Marty opened his in the movie.

I wonder who drunk it after Marty left it standing on the counter when he ran outta there running away from Griff to start his Hoverboard adventure ? LOL

That's a good point, I never thought about that! Got me thinking too now lol

Does anyone know how many bottles were made for the movie? Assume they've all been sold for high prices at auctions though...

Wow, not just a pic but even on video...
That shows how cheap they can make those, just glue a regular bottle cap in a bigger cap.
Easy and cheap, that way they didn't even had to change the sealing method.

I can see why it had to be a screw on cap, but at least the silver edge wasn't an impossible thing to add.

In the IGN video they seemed to use the original movie logo (which I prefer)[emoji106]

Here's another cool video I saw on YouTube

There's still one of the Hero bottles for sale actually.
For only $6.484 that baby is yours.
For that kinda cash I'd rather buy some decent MAG's though.

I know, those bottles have the wrong shape compared with the screen used bottles. But do they have at least the correct height?

That's a good question.
I think the thing that bothers me the most is the cap.
It's way too high!

Let's point out the details on this real quick:

- wrong shape
- inaccurate cap
- different logo
- height ?

I think it's safe to say we'd all rather have a decent replica made by whoever.
As long as it's more accurate.
But let's keep in mind Pepsi could have done this to prevent legal issues with Universal.

People keep bringing up "accuracy" while completely ignoring all of the health and safety markings that the bottle is covered in, with nutritional value on the back and serving information on the front. Even if everything else was perfect, these things would still be on the bottle making it "inaccurate" due to health regulations, it's likely stamped or screened onto the bottle itself. So why fuss about it? It is what it is.

The health & safety markings don't event bother me that much.
That's something that they have to put on there. It's just that if they advertise it to be the drink from the movie they could have done a better job on the outcome.

Might as well brought this out [emoji23]

To make it look a little better you could buy the accurate decal from eBay.

That's not a bad idea...
But I'm not sure it'll cover it.
The logo on the official Pepsi bottle is round while the screen accurate ones are more oval.
And maybe adding the silver line on the bottom of the cap would make a good improvement.

It's kinda like the HC vs official Nike's.
You can start with a good base and make your own out of it.
Can't wait to see some modified official Pepsi bottles soon...
