Original Kit bash ship `Tempest'

Thank you very much friends,:)

JMChladek-san

Oh, I did not know that story.

If I bought a good enough number of whole kits for this model,
my wife would put me RIP instead of WIP.:lol

When I started to build this model, I could obtain many
parts tree and sometimes many same parts trees. Those
were not only small bits but rather large component like
aircraft fuselage and tank body. I found those bulky parts
are sometimes very useful for this kind of build.:love

Having just come upon this thread, I have to say it's refreshing to see something original! While I have nothing but respect, (and LOTS of it), for all the SS replica modelers here, I really love seeing original creations... and this one is one of the best!

To me, this is a prime example of why CGI, no matter how well done, will NEVER top the look of hand built filming models. The level of detail you have put into this piece is just astounding and really brings it to "life".

Extremely well done, my friend!

Thank you very much !! B89-san,

Much more than just happy when my original design gains someones favor.
And, Oh I agree. I love something came out of firm material. Nothing just the
volatile data bits running in the computer circuits.

All the best,:)

I started to build the support ship or pier or something like that. ;D

Some toy train parts I bought at one coin shop.

I came upon this thread late, but I am so glad I found it! This is amazing work and like everyone else has said, I really enjoy your attention to detail!

My god! At first i thought this model was huge! After looking closer i realised
the ship was much smaller than i thought. The detailing is incredible. A huge inspiration for me as i´m currently doing 3D realtime-ships for the BSG MMO-game.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Astonishing work. I particularly love the interiors. You can really imagine getting lost in there.

I like your Aliens dropship-inspired Pug too.

I'm sure you could rent this out to a film maker. There must be agencies that provide rental of models as well as props.

Amazing piece of art,I'm just in awe of the skill. Being able how to determine where to put things and make it look good is a defendant skill.

this is very inspiring WOW! the attention to detail inside that thing. incredible!

I agree there should be agencies that do brokering between movie makers and prop makers both costuming and models. and this should be on top of one of those lists they keep around. it is so complex that a movie maker could use just part of it and allow the rest to be used by another movie maker. with no one ever knowing from the film perspective that they are the same prop!

Architect-san,

Thank you very much for your comment.
I haven't known that American film biz has such an agency to
handle those things. That's great. Which means there are substantial
needs of those original model. :rolleyes Amazing!
It's so exciting to imagine my model is on a TV or movie screen.:love
But here in Japan...:confused Makes me want to move to US.

Thank you again,

katsu
