Tempest 2

Hi to everyone.

Over the last few months, I have drawn some sketches for the next model. Many years ago, I built my first kitbashing model, 'Tempest' if you remember. This time I would like to make a bit more modernized(?) one with full scratch.
Here’s a rough sketch of it.
The size would be about 3 feet.

I already prepared the material for this. MDF, sheet plastic, and, some lighting things and ready to start it up. I will post any progress from time to time. I hope you like it.

By the way, On November 15, my wife retired from her job and started her second life. She looks so happy and maniacally doing many household things every day.
Cooking, growing plants, and learning. In the morning, we do household together and in the afternoon, she goes to her room and sews or reads some books while I am in my work shack.
In the evening, we drink some then prepare dinner and have an easy and peaceful time.

Where did you get inspiration from your design?

TazMan2000
Hi, Taz-san.

Thanks for asking.
I often get the images from clouds in the sky. I guess many of you have had the same experiences. Sometimes, clouds show us a very detailed structure.
Also, some guns or rifles give me a good image.

The right side lower one gave me an idea for this time.

This one is obviously influenced by Nostromo.:p

This one likes Viper of Galactica.

This is the idea for the USS Enterprise. I will try this someday.

Looks like the Sulaco and the Galactica had a baby! Sweet!

Thank you, jake-san!

Eager to watch your new project Katsu.

Congratulations on your wife's retirement.

Thank you, Carlb-san. Your last model gave me good motivation.

I'll be watching this build as I missed out on the first Tempest. Congratulations to your wife on her retirement. Enjoy!

Long way to go.

Always love your scratch build projects and overcoming obstacles.
I know you've helped me with ideas in the past, and I've tried to help back.
I also love looking at things for inspiration, or just how cool things look.

The other morning went outside, and everything was covered in these little ice spikes, Hoarfrost. Thought it looked really cool.

Thank you for the beautiful pictures. Michael-san. It's really cool and chilly-looking. Since November, here we have had very warm days until this morning. However, today is a very cold morning. As I look into your pics, nature IS A real artist. Once, I heard the Western proverb that 'Devil is living in detail. I think this 'Devil' means an awesomeness of nature. Some say that this whole world is a programmed computer simulation. Maybe they've never seen the exquisite beauty of nature like this.

Today has been even colder.
Went to the doctor this morning and was lightly snowing. Took these.
