I think something we desperately need is a good under armor file for under the armpits and stuff. Maybe with some actuators. Maybe one that could be used for different iron man suits as well. Or maybe a new mark 7 chest and back?

I did find this a while ago, doesn't have the armpits, but still a cool file.

Iron Man Substructure

I think the best way to get that detail under the arms is to mold it in clay (or equivalent), and cast it in rubber. Then it can move and you are not restricted.

The mark vii neck is ready !
It collapse and i think i made a pretty simple way of doing it !

Any idea when this file will be ready? I'm wetting myself with excitement to build it
also loving the files great job!

Looking nice! I started on the neck last night. Only i used eyeofsauron file. They er pretty much the same right?

Thanks and I was thinking maybe making the back of the neck detach to slide it on then re attach with magnets, kinda like the back of the helmet

Thats of course a possibility!
Is this neck also in 3 seperateparts, not connected to each other? Or is everything glued together? Didnt figure that part out yet!

Yeah it's in 3 different pieces each tier is a separate part. I'm still brainstorming on how to make it functional so I can fold it down when the helmet is removed

well the 3 pieces extend so you can resin and bondo each part apart but ADD SUPPORT so the shape will be right !
and then you just put the smallest part in the bigger one etc..

just finished the paper model! What you are saying might be possible, but it will be very difficult to keep the perfect shape.
My idea is to:
1. attach them together
2. then put a coat of resin on it so that it wil keep its form.
3. After drying i will detach the 3 parts.
4. Fiberglas the inside with 1 maybe 2 layers
5. bondo the outside.

BUT! now comes the real problem. How will we make it so that we can put the collar on, because your head will never fit trough??

My first guess is to split the thing in the middle, so that we would have a front and back piece. The backside will be attached solid to the back and the front peace will be clicked on with magnets.

You guys maybe have some other ideas?

Is there any chance you could model the details just above the chest? I suppose it would be a brace or a extension of the neck maybe?

I guess i can ! I'll try tommorow
