Limited Run Oblivion Movie Rifle - Second Run Capped!

I live in the UK and I received my kit safely for anyone doubting UK customs. Oh on the subject of this prop is there any guide to where all the pieces in the plastic bag go? I've figured out a few pieces but I'm guessing for the rest.. Any close up pics of the small pieces would be great if anyone can post them (the big parts I have got all stuck together)

I'm in Australia so like most people here, I'm not so familiar with the workings of real weapons like an M4 or even the Airsoft equivalents. However if you clean up the parts, look at Mal's assembly pics and also the following picture, you get an idea of where bits go. The positions of parts in the picture give the approximate places they fit on the gun. Then just play around a bit until it looks right Also use the movie poster and screenshots.

I guess I'm the one making the bigger mistake here, I assume that everyone went through this thread carefully looking at all the pictures I posted and reading all the descriptions I made. That's why I need a rifle so everyone could see how I was going about building all the internal mechanics (trigger, cocking handle, clip release.) the instructional tutorials that I'm going to make will be just me building the rifle again but this time showing you how I adjusted and modified any problems that come up in the casting.

If you want to make just a static mockup that has no movement whatsoever it's actually quite easy cuz almost everything can be glued together permanently. All the screws hardware that comes with the kids is intended for assembly of moving parts on the inside of the actual gun mechanism. I know it's hard to describe sometimes even more difficult when you can't see a picture but the the rifle is relatively easy to assemble if you are a model maker and you're used to tinkering with things instead of just assembling a straight model kit.

Sorry, my speech to text is making some crazy choices for words. Hopefully you get the jist of what I'm saying, right? :)

Anyone know of good paint references to match the light and dark grey? Say for which Tamiya colours would be good matches?

Came home to find a box waiting on the porch! Very excited to get this kit, all parts accounted for!! :D

Thank you! Casting up the last few kits as we speak.

I'm hoping to create some video tutorials on assembly of the rifle and shells soon. Sorry for the delays, so very busy with day job work!

I'm sorry that you didn't get the clip! I will cast a full clip for you and send it out soon. As to modifying for an ACTUAL clip, Soulinteria did that already, I believe he has a link to the tutorial somewhere in this thread.

Hey Wondersquid, any luck on casting a clip for me? I wouldn't bother you but I live in Canada and getting hold of a 10 round clip is not easy. Cheers!

I do have one for you, just need to get shipping costs. I'm hopefully mailing out the last rifle tomorrow and then this run will be finished!!

At this time I'm not doing another run because the molds are in poor shape. Contact me for individual requests and I'll see what I can do.

Guys, still pretty new around here but just have to say after reading through all 23 pages of this thread that THIS is why I joined the RPF and am dam proud to be a member here! What an inspiring story of determination, hard work, honestly and integrity on Mal's behalf. Not to mention the love, support and understanding from his fellow members. We all know we aren't saving the world here and it's just a hobby so family and life come first. Yet at the same time this is a "hobby" most of us are incredibly passionate about. This entire project has obviously been a mammoth effort for Mal and it's so great to see that he completed it with exceptional results despite numerous set-backs. And great to hear the many satisfied customers that have enjoyed his work. All-in-all a truly inspiring project. Well done to Mal and the RPF community for seeing it through to the end. Big props to you all! Pun intended.

Hi Guys! Besides Kevinercon and Soulinertia, has anyone else completed their rifle kit? Could you share your build or progress pics? I would love to learn more of this amazing rifle, especially on how to install the magazine catch spring before I start on mine!!! Cheers!

Hey! I know I am late to the game. I work for PTS the company that makes the Airsoft Masada/ACR platform. I was curious if there is a way to purchase a basic kit. I want to build a rifle for cosplay. All I would really need is the parts of the gun that aren't a part of the base rifle (since we have tons of these on hand)

Hey spartan117gw, I might be able to get you some shell parts in trade for a working pts Masada. Pm if interested.
