BIG UPDATE! - Ok Peeps, I know I said this before, but we really are near the end!!
This is the nightmare 5 piece mold I had to create to give me all the cavity space for various mechanisms.

The Handle is finally cast up, YA!

I glued in place the stock hinge assembly. This is what the butt connects to.

Even though I am giving you a ton of working mechanicals inside the handle, this part I had to say not to. For mIne I dremeled out a notch in the handle.

Then I cut off the length on this piece so it would fit.

Now I glue it in place

The bottom of the handle

Now with the cover in place. Originally this was cast as one piece, but it looked awful so I redid the handle bottom on the mold and then cast this separately.

Glued in place the front magwell detail piece, and test fit the clip.
Handle Final 11 by

to make the clip removeable I made the clip lock a separate piece which I drilled for a rod.

With the rod in place, now all I need is a spring for it all.

It's a bit blurry, but there were gaps here I had to fill

This is the trigger mechanism I rigged up. First in wood,

Then I primed the wood, and added in the cocking handle mechanism too.

This is all the trigger parts, cocking handle mechanism, barrel and light front end and spacer pieces cast up.

The tabs on the trigger fit into notches on the bottom. But I had to dremel the upper part so the spring would lay well.

The trigger is in place and the spring comes thru from the bottom to secure at the top and give the trigger it's springy quality.

This is the whole unit ready to be glued into the handle.

This is a spring setup I devised for the cocking handle to actually move and spring back.

This is the handle being pulled back. and when you let go, it springs back to it's forward position.

This is what it looks like glued into place. I also screwed it in from the top and those are those screws you see in the pictures on the poster.

Everything is assembled and glued into place on the handle.

Nostromo20 got me some very good replicas of the light setup, so when I get the switches I'll wire it all together.

Ok, so next update I should have the Rifle finally assembled. At that point it's casting parts and getting the kits together. That update will be me closing the run. So now is the time to decide if your in or out on this. Tell your friends!
