Limited Run Oblivion Movie Rifle - Second Run Capped!

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Deposits!

Does this rifle both have regular white light and red light?
Unfortunately no, BUT it is a kit and if you can figure out the electronics to make that happen, you may be able to add it in yourself.

I updated the first page, have a look. I'll post the final build stuff soon. Anyone who has paid a deposit, please send me your final paypal payment so I can begin the final casting and kit making of all of this. I will contact those who need to pay shipping soon. Thanks for your patience and perseverance, its been a long one, but I'm pretty happy with it so far!

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Deposits!

Frakking awesome work mate! Well done!

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Deposits!

Oh man! I just wired in the light and it's AWESOME!!! I can't believe it, but Nostromo you're the man, you found the flashlight!! It runs on a 9 volt alone and it's output was putting my regular flashlight to shame!

It's all so cool now that everything is done!! I'm so jazzed to get this all cast and out to you all. I'll put the final update up next week, until then get your money in everyone! I'm gonna cap the run at 20 so that means there are a few slots left, but after this run, I'm going to have to raise the price,

$300 is a steal for all the work that went into this thing. Working clip release, working trigger, working charge handle, working flashlight, simulated light up scope. The weight is probably right with all that resin too! Sorry if I'm bragging, but man am I so proud of this thing, it took so long, but so worth all the trouble. I hope you all like it too:)

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Deposits!

Good morning from the uk! Mal that is awesome work, did someone say they where doing a rub on transfer kit? Deposit sent, balance will be paid next Friday!

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Deposits!

Peter - Hello it is Gordon

All you need to do is go down to the local police station and fill out the form for shipping a replica model gun kit. The local Police Chief must approve the form. You scan it and email the form to the Shipper. I printed out the form and enclosed it in the full package. The shipping documents were clearly marked resin inert model gun kit. It arrived no problem to the OZ. If anyone opened the package and inspected - they could clearly see to was not a firearm but a gun shaped model kit. The per-approval form the local police covered the entire process. I just shipped an M76 S&W Machine gun replica resin kit last year. No Problems.

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Deposits!

Good morning Mal, this is awesome a beautiful piece of work. Is it too late to get on the list for one of these beauties?

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Deposits!

You're going to make me buy one of these, aren't you?

Looks freakin' great. Can't wait to see the whole thing together!

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Deposits!

Light looks great. Just wondering about heat - these are normally in metal torch bodies which can act as heatsink. Might be something just to watch out for.

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Deposits!

Payment sent
Recieved, thank you!

Look like I might have to go above 20, I have several PMs out and some of you are not even on the interest list! :lol Only one slot left on the 20 run, but if this interest keeps up, I'll go to 25...maybe.:devil

For those sending payments, please include your RPF screen name!! Thank you.

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Final Payments!

Mal, just sent you a PM & the deposit for one of your superb rifles, hope I manage to make it onto the list.

My understanding is that they are still LEDs and burn cool. But so far when I leave the light on I feel no heat. Admittedly I don't leave the light on for more then 2 minutes at any time. Don't want to run down the battery! :)

I think armoredbursh is doing it, I just heard from him and he's in process, so fingers crossed!

I wanted in on this but never got a response to my pm.
I'm sending you another, sorry, but you original message never came thru.

Yup! The run is closing better hurry! :)

Yes I will put you on the list, but I need the rest of the payment shortly, no more deposits please. I need all the cash in hand to get additional material since the run is getting bigger then before. Not to mention that light in the front is $10.00 alone, I should charge you guys for all these extras! Sheesh! :)

Re: Oblivion Movie Rifle - Taking Final Payments!

That's awesome! Are you putting one of the low profile rocker switches on the bottom of your rifle to turn the light off and on?

Can't wait, this looks great!

Also, you said...

This is the handle being pulled back. and when you let go, it springs back to it's forward position.

Do you have any sort of "stop" at the front, to keep the handle arm from smacking against the handle channel edge?

We discovered years ago that we had to put a "cushion" inside the top tube on MP5 airsoft guns
to keep the charging handles from snapping off when people do the "Hollywood slap" and the bolt slams forward,
smacking the spring loaded handle against the channel edge.

BATMANN, Soulinertia - Thank you for your payments!

I guess, I found small rocker switches, but do you have something special in mind?

Do you have any sort of "stop" at the front, to keep the handle arm from smacking against the handle channel edge?
Currently the channel itself is the stop, on my shell it stops about an 1/8" to 1/16" before hitting the shell wall.
