Obi-Wan Epi IV Dummy Sabre

I have just completed the costume for my Old Obi-Wan, but I needed a dummy hilt to wear on it. After fruitless attempts at finding a resin caste anywhere, I decided to scout the junk in my workroom. I was amazed that I only had to pick up a very few things at the hardware store to make my dummy. :confused

It's made from a motorcycle hand grip, two wood dowels, black rubber dip, a faucet handle, short piece of chrome sink drain pipe, a three-piece plastic pipe union, aluminum weather strip, old wiper blade insert, two legos, round stick-on furniture dots, acorn nuts and screws, wood screws, metal tapes, and metallic paints.

It's close enough for the uneducated, and should help me get approved as a face character for LFL events... I hope! :angel

If I remember correctly, it was originally speculated that the handle incorporated a motorcycle grip before all the parts were identified.
Given your use of real world items, I'd say you've done a great job at recreating the look. Nice work ! :thumbsup

Very nice :) yeah I was thinking that , Gee, you used what everyone thought were the right parts ;)

Looks good to me :)

That doesn't look too bad at all! :) Good job!
By the way, in case you did not know, the picture you have printed out is of a replica.

I have seen real motorcycle grips made of metal that were cut like the grenades, even.. The proportions were off, but still.
