They all do. It’s to mimic the threaded rod that it’s all assembled on.

Yup! That's what mine looks like.

Wow, I knew the threaded rod for the stunts, but not the heroes. Good news though as it means mine does not have a unique flaw. Larry emailed me noting the same thing, so... OK.

Mine. I flipped mine over so it would be centered, though I understand what they were going for. If you can get the endcap unscrewed (it’s the end plate+beveled collar) the bolt is a short bolt that can be flipped around. All of its glued together, so it just depends on how strong your glue is. My end cap was barely glued on, so I was able to twist it off without damage and then torched the bolt until it popped loose.

It’s how the hero was, but the threads seem deeper on the efx bolt than on the original hero, so the core of the bolt is smaller which makes it look a little wonky to me.

Just got a chance to open up this gem. I’ve owned the Master Replicas Obi-Wan Kenobi Elite Edition lightsaber, and that is on a whole different level of beauty from most sabers. With that being said, I believe this matches that in quality and I think I actually like it a little bit more. EFX knocked it out of the park with this one.

It comes with both, with the red one on when shipped, but I put the purple one on for quick photos of both before sealing it back up. The red LED button is what the one they referenced in the archive has, very much like the Obi-Wan “Saltshaker” Episode III lightsaber which was never seen on screen. They included a purple rivet to display as the Hero, although the actual Hero is long gone.
