Great job but your uppers are not totally accurate. They are too tall.

I will show mine when they are done.

I'm still refining mine.

It will be down sized This it is only because it is not set completely the upper is setting on the insole wires witch has it at a upright angle makes shoe look tall and off set once the uppers are set the shoe should look right.. I hope jk

The black mags with Red and or Gold EL will be cool. It will be like how the different teams Mags may have looked had they actually gone through with filming the "Slamball" scene in BTTF II...

And below is my first fully modded Mag, but I've ran into a snag on the second and the EL sheet is fighting me again developing black spots on the arcs. Also I didn't heed JediFyfes advice earlier and ruined one EL in the sole by getting super glue on it! Grrrrrrrrr image.jpg

@RLMcFly, have you done the toe correction on that?

Yeah of course, it just didn't turn out perfect, but the right shoe of that pair (not pictured) came out better. I am more practiced at the mod now, so my final pair should turn out the best of all.

OK I thought it was, just it didn't seem as flat as some have done them. I have been massaging the hell out of the foam toes in my wear pair and they seem to have lost their boot shape a bit, which is a good thing.

I don't want to chop these up at this stage if I don't have to.

chop them out,
if your electronics are gone, then you might as well

as they come, they are rubbish as standard.
crappy innacurate uppers and crappy electronics.

Give it a go.
Put in some EL sheets and new switches and do the toe slim.

Can't you just order another pair from Karin?

Hello, no, I already have to have a custom pair 9V, with el nike, el sole blue aqua and with red-yellow-green leds, for my customer,
and I do not have time to make for him, because too much demand(request) at the moment.
If one of you has a pair already to realize in size 9.5, said I in private message, thank you.

Yeah I hear you. My reserve is that last time I got keen to make a new pair of uppers, all I ended up with was a pair of soles.

can you put up some side view pictures of your current uppers.

They still look like the boots we all know they are. The interesting thing is, the ribs are way flatter than my 2nd pair [that is how they came] and because I have have been squashing the toe box down, they just don't have that traditional boot look of the 2nd pair. The toe is still round though.

Sorry mis-understood. I do have 2 x 9.5s, but there not modded and I am not selling them yet.

Yeah I can understand you wanting to keep your wear pair cherry Cavx...but you should still consider putting a black Nike logo in the strap of those, even if you don't include the EL. The black laser printed Nike logo really classes these up. And also consider that if you mess up a tiny detail on the straps, you most likely have spares (from your other pairs)...but either way enjoy them man, I know I will once my pair is complete and my 4 new sheets of EL arrive next week! Lol extras baby, extras...

It is not even about keeping them 'cherry', it is about keeping them wearable. Yeah, I agree, the black/white NIKE looks way better than the crappy blue thing we've bee given. I also have better ankle buckles here and probably should just make new straps. I just don't want to repeat what I did last year.

Ok, maybe I'm the only one with this problem, but when installing the el sheet in the sole, the combination of the blue el and yellowed clear sole makes the el appear kinda green while the el on the strap is a nice blue color. Maybe mine are just more yellow than others, but it looks pretty bad imo.

I am assuming many have access to ALDI stores? They have a cleaning product ($2.50) that will bleach the soles. The stuff is designed as a bathroom cleaner and contains a bleach that should do the job. Because many bathrooms have rubber seals on doors, this stuff should be OK on the soles. Just don't leave it on too long as it is strong. Don't get it in your clothes either unless you want white spots.

cool, can give that a try, is it just called 'bathroom cleaner' or does it have a specific name?
Comes in a spray bottle, I assume?

Here is a photo of the bottle. I would suggest using an old (or buy a new cheap) tooth brush and dab the gel onto the rubber, then have a rag and some water handy to clean up. Be careful, this is powerful stuff.

I tried a solution made for getting the yellow out of the soles but the effects were very temporary.
