Also that pic Karen sent is of a custom mag done by someone else, just Google it, same shoe, same background. Curious to see what the Chinese version will actually look like.

Yes, the one you posted up is of a real 2011 customised mag. Someone actually posted that up before.

But yes, they have done the V2 in black. They've simply done the exact same v2 knockoff , except in the black colorway, here are some pictures.
Same crappy LEDs.
I guess the only thing these are good for is the soles and heel cup and buckle.
the rest i wouldn't even need to make a custom black pair.

so the strap doesn't even light up as she claims?

booooooooo

Yeah it's kinda sketchy for them to list the light up strap as one of their main selling points when it doesn't even light up! I still would be curious to see what they look like if someone on the forum were to buy them. I'm not going to because I just ordered my 3rd pair of V2's last week...

I did that strap mod by applying the 'loop' side of the velcro to the 'hook' on the strap. It no longer catches the tongue and slides through the buckle now as it should. I've left the velcro on the other side so the strap can't slip.

you don't even need to apply any loop side velcro to the strap.
if you look closely, you can actually peel off the actual velcro layer quite easily (the back bit is stitched, but the actual top layer is removable).

look closely, you can peel if off.

no need to even do anything else.
In fact, if anyone gets a new pair of shoes, first thing to do is this mod, just peel off the velcro layer.

well you already know what they look like. they are the exact same shoes as the existing grey ones, just in black. same crappy electronics, same crappy materials, same innacuracies.

you won't need anyone to buy them to tell you that!

well at least there is one thing on them that will satisy a few knowledgeless people (you know, the ones on youtube!). The ones who go on about "not enough splatter".
These look like they have more than enough "splatter".

As if splatter is going to make these shoes "accurate". my word, the number of dumb people on youtube! they actually think these shoes need more "splatter" and they can't even bother to see the other more obvious faults with these replicas which are far more important to fix.

Well, each to their own.

The "splatter" on the RD 2011 shoes don't even look anything like the original movie shoes, and the grey on the midsoles is much darker too than on the movie shoes, but try telling that to those people!

In relation to airair's mention of removing the velcro, what I encountered was the sticky material stayed on the strap when the hook part was removed.
I just covered that with clear stickytape before it could become clogged with dust and dirt.
I suppose you could use something to remove the sticky material too if you wanted.

That is what figured would happen. If it is glued on, there will be a sticky residue left over. You could carefully clean the residue off with acetone, but I decided it was just easier to apply a small piece loop to the part.

I was excited about the black MAG when I got the email, but after seeing it is what I thought it would be (black V2), not buying.

hi

you guys are doing it wrong and making things complicated for yourself.

you don't remove the entire velcro piece thats glued to the leather, just the very tiny thin layer on top. The back of the thin velcro layer is what is glued down, but the top layer is suprisingly easy to peel off.

here's a picture.
I peeled off just the top layer of velcro which is on a tiny paper thin sheet, just 1mm and almost see through. That's what it should be when peeled off. The actual thick backing is left stuck to the strap, no stickyness or anything.

It seems you guys are actually trying to rip the entire thick piece off which is not what you are supposed to do.

Its not difficult, just place your finger nail in the corner, and it peels straight off.
What is left is just the dull non sticky piece (10 second modification).

You don't peel the entire thing off as its glued down, i'm just talking about the absolute top layer which is what the velcro layer is.

Hello the troop I ended one of my several pairs.
My device is not at the top but the effect is there!
Moreover I have too much demand(request) for these mags,
what is that somebody of you all would have a pair grey custom
in size 9.5 to be sold for one of my customers.

If you have a pair in custom size 9.5 and in grey, contact I fast in private message and say I your price(prize) with the delivery for Europe, because I need for a customer.
I can not follow my commands(orders), too too much work for me.
Thank you.
