wow congrats! at least you have a pair to put in a glass case and one to wear around :) do you have any extra EL straps laying around :D

I had this feeling a couple of years ago when I bought my Marty McFly cap. I just think it is like that when you wanted something so bad and looked at it, talked about it, and finally comes to you, you think everyone will be so exited as you are, but no, everyone else is not.
I totally understand the frustration, but couple of weeks from now and you'll have forgotten.
I wear my cap like 100 days a year, and maybe 5 people will ask me about it. I really don't mind since it is a usual thing for me, so don't worry with you shoes bro, the essential part is you're happy with them ;)

So a different story today.

Sleepless's car was a crowd pleaser :)

Can you take a picture of area from the bottom of the shoe where the lights are? So I can see how far the clear sole sticks out past the shoe? If that makes any sense...

Awesome pics! If I had the real MAGs i'd use like 1gb of photos haha. Is that inner lining fabric different than the outer fabric? It looks slightly darker, and possibly a 4-way stretch? Although it could be the lighting from the flash making it look different

Good images Jedifyfe. So in case my eyes are deceiving me, the pyramids are actually positive (they point out, not in)? The waffle on the side is negative (recessed in). A positive sole is probably easier to reproduce.

Yes cavx. That is correct.

Thanks. I also measured that CP buckle at about 73mm. You said the RD MAG buckle is 2" 11/16" which if my math is correct [25.4mm to the inch] is 68.2mm. So yeah whilst it is slightly over-sized, I will use it because I think it looks way better than the flatter part of the V2s.

This pics gives us an great view of how much we have to slim the toe. Maybe only RobertTX slimmed this much.

I did the flattest toe slim months back and have done it on every conversion.
The problem is that the v2 template is wrong and sticks too forward
Giving a slightly off look.
A scratch made upper rectified this though.

I agree. I tried to slime mine as much as possible without having a big gap, and here's my result. I don't think there is a way to have it look as slim as the RD.

That is because a scratch made pair's toe won't have the normal rounded form of a standard shoe. As it is rolled to meet the inner seam, it forms a flat profile on the toe.

I have been asked how the materials on the V2's compare to the RD's. They are completely different. The upper material is more miniature "Chainmail" in appearance and the midsole is more spongy on the RD's. Personally, I like the materials on the V2's better. They are more rugged and durable.

On a BTTF related side note, I am finishing up a jacket for one of members here as well. I forgot how hard these jackets are...

Sweet Jacket bro, what glue do you use to secure the red material onto the jacket? Also, is that your members only jacket base?
