Yeah I can do thatJedifyfe, 2 size questions if I may?
1. How far does the clear sole stick out from the side compared to the V2?
2. How tall is that ankle buckle?
1. It sticks out 1/4 inch further than the V2's
2. The buckle is exactly 2 11/16" tall
I was going to get these at some point. I just had to get to a point in my head that I was ok with it. It took me almost 2 years. I paid less than the average for size 10's and much less than what this seller bought them for.
The funny thing about owning the RD's is that I appreciate my V2 conversions even more. It's weird but I like that my modded V2s are so close to the real ones that I have essentially done what I wanted to do (which was to make my own MAGs). I just didn't have to do too much work. I still think that the V2's, once modded, are really amazing. I will never wear my RD's so I like having a few pairs of MAGs that I CAN wear.

First of all, congrats Jedifyfe ! As it's been said, you deserve to have a pair of these since you're the world's best expert on MAGs.
The sentence I'd like to comment is this one :
Now, having knockoffs you can wear is great for everyone. Having knockoffs you wear proudly is something else, but with all the mods you all guys do, you are capable of that.
Jedidyfe has the chance of being one of the few owners of RD MAGs, but more important for me, one of the VERY few who can wear proudly a pair of knockoffs MAGs noone will notice they aren't RD.
For nerds like us, we can see few things to differenciate those but that's only because we spent too many hours looking at them.
The toe slim has to be the way RobertTX did on my opinion. I thought I did it almost perfectly, but I think his toe mod is the perfect one.
The NIKE logo is too small on every modded MAG I saw.
Those are the two things we have to be careful of in the future.
Now, they are several things we unfortunately can't mod because of the construction of the shoe. The clear sole is the most flagrant one, and then comes for me "flatened laces", which is a thing that can be minimized but not forgotten.

This is totally my point of view. RD is like having a trophy, it's something you own but you won't wear them because it means too much money. But you have them and everyone who doesn't can't know how it feels like.

Sorry I didn't catch that.
I tried to have even toes by carefully cutting the same amount of fabric on each shoe, and as you can see even on my black and grey ones I have even toes.

Nope. I mean the yellow box inside the two brown shipping boxes. These aren't going to be displayed. Just cherished.

Good stuff Jedifyfe, and like everyone else, thoroughly chuffed you got the holy grail!
You inspired practically all of us on here to modify our own mags, and have given so much help and advice.
You are right also, the v2s with all the mods is practically indistinguishable to the layman, only geeks like us who bloody stare at them for hours will know the differences!
Awe, c'mon. Put 'em in a case. On a pedestal. Center of the living room. You'll just need to buy some UV-blocking clear film to protect the colors. And maybe a pressure-sensitive base tied to an alarm. An ejection system that will propel them out of the house in case of immediate danger could also come in handy...Or I guess you could just keep them in the box...

Wow! Congrats Jedifyfe, excellent price for the rd's too! Glad to hear the 10s work, I've always wondered how the real ones would fit. I was lookin at the comparison pictures, thinking "rd, v2... v2, rd... rd-wait nope thats a v2!" I've got 1 question: how wide is the lace area? U know the gap between the grey area for the tongue and laces to go?
P.s. you are now Sir Jedifyfe, you should be knighted LOL for such great work on the mods that even BTTF and MAG fans get the knockoff mixed up with the Real Deals!

Hahaha. There are two reasons I don't want to display them.
1) Spyhunter touched on it which is the UV reason
2) I have a pair of 9.5 V2's set up to run off a wall plug. It's fun to have these turn and off at a touch of a button
I am thankful that I inspired you guys and rest assured that I have not changed my outlook on the V2's. just the contrary, I actually think owning the RDs makes me enjoy the modded V2's even more.
I even think that any RD MAG owner who saw our modded pair would want them for themselves. I doubt we will ever have anyone pointing at our modded shoes and saying "those are fake". Only if you are trying to pass them off as real or sell them as real. Otherwise anyone would want the modded V2's.

I too catch myself mixing up the two shoes in pics AND real life. A couple times I grabbed my V2's thinking they were the RDs.

You guys are referring to this auction. This guy is a scammer. Selling the V2's and saying he doesn't know if they are real or not. He tried to get me to buy these. No real MAG's are being sold under about $3800-$4200
