Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

There are a few of these on taobao now. I've seen sellers with pics of the v3 selling for around $320. When prompted for more pics they send ones of this version. They will swear blind they are the same shoe. When I pointed out the sole was not EL, they told me that LED's look better anyway. If that's the case why use pictures of the EL fitted V3 on their listings. So many time wasters.

Aren't these just the V2.1s?

No. The fabric runs across, not down the shoe and the finger pull holes are not just sewn. They are made the same as the 3V, though the vinyl does not appear to have been cut as neat. The seam goes all the way to the top.

Had a couple oil spots on mine from Thanksgiving a couple weeks ago

So I put some talcum powder on the oil spots and let sit for 24 hours(As suggested by @Devilnash)

Then scrubbed with warm water and some Jason Markk solution. DO NOT USE THE JASON MARKK BRUSH ON THESE! It's too stiff of a brush and will make it fuzzy. Luckily I didn't use it much.

The water and solution left a bigger water mark on it so I had to basically wet the whole upper on both to make it the same color.

Dried and looks tons better. Thank you guys for all your input and advice! Wore these to mall the other day all people wanted to do is take pictures of them lol

I am glad it all worked out for you :thumbsup

update on my shoes: after cleaning again with a toothbrush and water and soap shoes are all good now
i had left the paper inside the shoe and pulled it out only to discover it being wet some
so tip: if u ever going to clean these make sure to remove any paper inside shoe to prevent that paper from soaking up water and making it harder for shoe to dry out

also those v2.1 look pretty sweet in all honesty
but $320 vs $450
i think v3s are a better choice

Also dry your shoes on their side with the outrigger facing up. Shoes actually dry quicker this way and by facing the outrigger up, ensures that no water can run down into the EL panel.

Yes, the V3's are much better - even the midsole foam is pretty much a real shoe foam let alone all the other improvements. Have a look through the forum for images of shoes taken apart, and note the difference between the V2's with all those holes printed in them and the V3's which are just straight foam.
(found an image containing the inside of a V3 insole, but can't see the one of a V2) I wouldn't mind adding some V2.1's to my collection but only if they're around the $200 mark.

You too :)

So you have MP, V1, V2, V3, HC?

Haha yes this is where I sound a little unusual to most people, since I have more than one of most models. Mark Poon's which I bought many years ago and my feet are too big for so I could never use, :( Then 2 pair of white, silver, and black/yellow colours of the V1's, two pairs of HC's, a black and a grey of the sport version, 3 pairs of V2's in grey and 2 pairs of V3's. Spose I could get a black pair of V2's as well but that gold swoosh really puts me off. It should have been black, or at least silver with no texture.

Here are some pics with the added decals from Mark. Those decals are GREAT quality! I picked up these shows on AliExpress. May not be the most accurate but I'm very happy with results! Next, adding the tong extensions! Then painting the rubbers if I can find some Seaview locally or alternate product. Suggestions welcomed!

I'd upgrade to lighted straps and do a toe box slim - super easy to do.

I got my V3's today, very happy with them! Does anyone know how long (hours) the batteries last before they need charged?

Out of the box, they might last an hour or two. What I do is to charge them for 4 hours with a reminder on my iPod to unplug them so they don't overcharge and damage the battery. After a 4 hour charge they have lasted me many hours (possibly 6?) and still lit up when I got home. So far, so good.

Great! I'm just running the batteries down to test if both shoes charge, love the timer idea, will bare it in mind [emoji6]
