Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Just got my pair. i am EXTREMELY pleased. No blemishes noticed on my pair and electronics seem well wired. I jumped up and down in place and ran in place and the lights stayed lit perfectly. I ordered last Tuesday and they were supposed to be delivered yesterday. I didnt ask for QC pics. I just asked for a clean pair with no blemishes and perfectly functioning lights. Also, the soles seem really icey on my pair

I guess when the electronics start to fail is when we can expect the V3 modding thread to appear :)
Or just when the inaccuracies REALLY start to bug the right people. :p

The definitely had a size 10 or 11 because it's clear the sizes in that general range are more accurate, and smaller ones were just scaled down linearly, despite the real Mags being scaled variable to maintain a certain profile. So I wouldn't be surprised if the location of the bubble or the length of the outer heel cup wing or the roundness of the front peak of the cuff (Versus the almost point RD cuff) REALLY starts to get to people to the point of modding.

If I had to guess though, I'd say cuff replacements, sole repaints, and icy sole swaps will be the major mods that will become common in time.

PS: Why did I mention a handful of inaccuracies that now you won't be able to unsee? Because I'm evil, that's what. :lol

A little something to go with my MAGs. The 1/6th scale Delorean Time Machine.

Damn, boyyeeeee!!! Looks like $600 BTTF items are all the rage right now! That thing is awesome. I was looking into one a little while ago, but man, it's soooooo big. Did you not get the Marty to go along with it?

Yeah, I had this on preorder last year but let it go. Then I saw a guy near me selling this in a sealed box for $600. I had to get it. I MIGHT get the Part 2 Marty. I like the part1 Delorean over the Part 2 but I don't know if I will get the figures. I just like the scale of this.

I agree about the Part 2 Marty. I'm struggling in my head about what to do at the company Halloween party later this year. I think the Part 2 costume is so much cooler, but most "laypeople" (aka co-workers) don't know it as well.

Congrats and enjoy that huge DeLo!

@sthebest1984 thank you for the pics - what size are your MAGs?

thanks! mine are a size 10. Also, i had no problem with my charger holes. I didnt need to force the plugs in, they went right in. What i did was pick up each shoe and located the holes and stuck the plug in and they went in with no resistance. I am perhaps one of the few lucky ones.

I told David I was on RPF and wanted to give a good review of the shoes. This is probably why my pair looks pretty pristine. My splatter print looks pretty good too. I havent been this pleased with a pair of sneakers in a long time.

Also, the EL panels in the sole arent as dim as people are making them out to be. In comparison to the real deal, theyre slightly dimmer. but when the lights are dim or even off, these babies light up pretty hard and will definitely cause a bit of commotion. I cant wait to wear these to work for casual friday

I really hope the soles don't yellow too bad. Is it possible for them to yellow even if they stay in the box?

If they are not UV stabilised, they will turn yellow in time And it is not just exposure to sunlight. Even fluro lights emit UV. Not sure about LEDs though.

Bring it on! I'd prefer a straight fight to all this sneaking around.

That you are.

I'm still dumb founded that they missed this inner wing shape. Both the V1 and V2 had a skinny toe and it seems that the V3 has fixed that. The thick heel is not gone, but...

Mark Poon shoes got it right, V1 (which these soles are a modded pair of) got it right. Why couldn't the V2 and now V3. Especially since they had the real shoe to work off. I don't. I just have images and hand crafting, yet it seems I am able to get the shape closer than 3D scanning of the real shoe - WTF?

I got size 10 as well. Your pair looks awesome by the way. Congrats. Mine are scheduled for tomorrow - can't wait.

I got mine today, size 10. I ordered them last Tuesday, so it took a week to get to me and I'm in Georgia if that helps anyone. These things look fantastic, I'm really blown away!

Little update about my trouble with the right shoes the aftersale service will send me another right shoe for 60$ so it will make me able to try some mods or send it to the master jedi to see if mods can be done easyly on V3s. ;)

Whoa you have to pay 60.00 for their messed up wiring? Also this could be good for everyone on the end that we now have a pair to take apart....

They sure do love their fees lol

If your left shoe messes up you can have an extra pair for $120 lol

So is it safe to say that the V3s cost them about $75-100 to make?

This wouldn't surprise me, if this is the case, they're making a hole lot of profit.
Do any of the materials they use, feel cheap?

The only thing that feels cheap, and that's stretching it, is the white ankle buckle. It's like a dense foam material. iIt gets dirty a little too easy. If you really wanted to you can tape off everything superwell and use some white plastidip on it. Nothing else really to report on that.

And that's exactly how the real ones felt.
