Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Might be a heat issue - I wore mine for probably 6 hours or so today, constantly walking around and no velcro came off. I don't know what the temp was when I was out, but felt like around mid to high 20s. Maybe above a very particular temperature the glue is too soft and comes off. Did the Tarzan's Grip part you re-glued fail as well?
Not sure what you mean about the toe folding under itself, do you mean on the side?

I don't think so. I think that half part that didn't break is the part I glued last time with the Tarzan's Grip.

We have been having mids 30s all week here and are supposed to hit 40 on Sunday. I'll be in Air-Con that day.

Sorry I meant tongue, not toe. Because these shoes are fairly snug on me anyway, that small fold dug in and was not comfortable. Like I'd go so far as to say it actually hurt.

These are not hard to make. Any half decent plastics workshop could make one of these for about $50. I am not sure what the laser engraving would cost, but i don't think more than say $20.

In addition to the "NIKE MAG The Future Is Now", I think the text "#0321" would be a nice touch to the fact our shoes are reps, all with the same number.

I'm not a business and don't have set prices. I like to help people and work with their budgets if I can and time allows. But typically here is the rule. I've been charging around 200 if I make and replace LEDs. Fake el panels is more work and many elaborate ways to do it by either tapping into existing computer board or making a whole new system. And also you have to find Aqua LEDs. If not then you have to make smart LEDs. Which adds another computer board. Etc etc etc. basically I csn crank through led swap quick. Changing el panel to led will cost more and is where I will work with you on budget. @spider2465 @Devilnash
also I know some places That will make certain size panels that you want on special order. May end up making a big batch. Make a little thicker and stronger than the original panels.

$70 bucks for boards. $35 each. I'll make them. Replace if something Happens that is my fault. And pay to ship

I want to order a pair of LED boards from you. do you still have them in stock?

I have a question.

If the shoes lights are turning on when the charger is plugged in but dont work when charger is plugged in, is that more or less indicating faulty battery?

The charge port pins seem ok.
But battery looks like its failed.

shoes turn on while plugged in, but not when unplugged = bad battery

These shoes will drain even when turned off. Fully charged they seem like they will die in 3-4 weeks without turning them on, some pairs are worse then others it seems too. To people who have had their batteries die, do you notice this after not wearing them a little while? Or after a long wear?

I'm going to suggest bad batteries.

Note the charge leads in my wear pair.

wow, on this pic they look slimed on the toebox

They are. That's how the V3s come. If anything, I would have preferred the full size toe box, but no toe cap - IE sock toe. Of course, that view is not popular as these are supposed to be reps of the 2011 shoe, not the 1989 shoe. interestingly enough, a MAG with clear soles, puffy cuff and long tongue is closer to 1989 movie shoe than the 2011 shoe.

Yes, even just having less framing material in the toe box (even if not none) would make these more comfortable as well as the toebox might not get creases. My V2's didn't get the creasing effect that's happening on the V3's. And they don't slump like a Nike Roshe (no frame in toebox)

Netflix released their series "Abstract: The Art of Design" today. The 2nd episode is all about Tinker Hatfield and they spend a portion talking about the development of the Mag.

Check this out. The first working prototype of the auto-lacing Mag...from 2007!

does that look like a V2 sole to anyone?

This makes me think that Nike might actually involved with these replicas. Those look way too close to the HCs to be a coincidence.

Is there video link for this? I just searched YouTube and found what might be it, but can't seem to play it.

That sole is a HC, not a V2.

Imagine if the HCs had actually come out looking like that? I'd be all over them as kickers.

I'd give it a few days for someone to crack it. The entire series is pretty great if you have Netflix. The E.A.R.L is the thread throughout Tinker's episode.

Optical illusion? D this is because the LEDs are bright and some of the red light penetrates the clear sole.

I just saw the lights on one of my mag's briefly flicker very fast. This is the first time this has happened, and they just flickerd once. Should I be concerned?

Thanks for sharing, that show was good for a bit of a sneakerhead and MAG fan like me :)
