Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Haha, you know I love the Mags bro, my RD's hardly ever see the light of day, and when they do I don't even like touching them (they are my precious, like Smeagol and his ring) :p To be able to own a pair that are nearly as good, with a MUCH lower price tag, well I just couldn't say no, and I had to let the credit card take the abuse. These trainers (sneakers) are my ultimate film prop from my favourite movie and I also love trainers, and they are my favourite trainer, I'm sure everyone on this thread can relate.

Lol! Tell me about it! I understand 100% bro ;)
How can I convince my wife I'm not crazy spending $600 in a pair of sneakers I (almost) already have?... "Pleaaaaaase don't leave me honey!"

First off, let me say how excited I am that the V3s finally released and look so close to the release date version. I never thought this shoe would be able to get this well replicated. One of my things on my bucket list is owning a a pair of Nike Mags and though I have a decent paying job, I still would have a hard time dropping $5k+ for a single pair of shoes. So the V3 is a most viable option. The best bet for buying these is to put it on a credit card and then just pay it off like any other credit purchase.

Question: I am a true size 10.5 but can fit into a size 10 if they fit large. Is it best to stick with my 10.5? I prefer a little room in my shoes as opposed to going down to a size 10 and having them hurt after a few hours of wearing them

I fit an 11 in Nikes and bought the 11 V3 and they fit like a glove, but I know it's been different for others. So really, I'd say to just buy your size and cross your fingers.

You can go for a 10 they fit large. ;)

Do you guys think that these V3s came out because perhaps Nike is thinking about retroing the 2011 pair along side the power lacing ones? Just a thought.

You are waaay overthinking this. The rep makers don't know or give any damn about what Nike is going to do, nevermind what Nike is 'thinking' of doing. They just want to make reps that they know people really want.

You sure about that? Replica Jordans come out 4-6 months before their official street release. Once the real ones start being made - the replica/unauthorized start hitting the streets. It's just a thought.

I'd be really surprised if Nike did anything like that. The Jordan is a mass produced shoe, hundreds of thousands of units made. The Mag on the other hand was probably the best kept secret in the sneaker game, especially as it was in development for so long. I could be wrong, but I agree with @DL4567, highly unlikely but not impossible I guess.

I wouldn't put anything past Nike. But regardless, I'm super happy we have the V3s available. Looking forward to grabbing a pair.

Just to let you all know, I can confirm that the US 7 does run large. All of mine are an identical size, close to a 7.5 or even 8 at a push. If you're on the smaller side of a 7, get yourself some insoles & thick socks, you're likely to need them.

My RD 7 are easily a full size down from these V3.

Can anybody tell me where the Nikes are sent from when I buy a pair? I can't see any company details on the linked website.

I might have to order a pair of 7s if the power lace version comes out then lol. Do the pieces on them look big on them? The ankle buckles, and heel cups. I'm not sure if they made different molds for the pieces for each size.

To those who have ordered and received your shoes, did you receive tracing info and shipping notifications?

Look how behind they are on their promise of power laced MAGs by "spring 2016." Sure, nothing's impossible, but my gut continues to tell me that if they ever get around to releasing them, they will continue to keep them exclusive and expensive. I'd hit the floor in shock if there was any sort of wider, cheaper release. And that's my point, this is all speculation, and the rep makers don't know any more about it than we do.

I will be surprised if they made different sizes for the rubber parts with exception of the soles of course.

Ok, these things are nice!! I've had a smooth transaction and I received them promptly. The shoes themselves, they are not perfect, but they are pretty close, they're awesome!! If you are on the fence about these, but always wanted to own them, then 'just do it'. When they are sitting next to the RD, you can see the differences, but when I opened the box for the first time, I was thinking these are unbelievable for a replica. These are very, very good, I am happy with them. I didn't get chance to walk around in them, it was getting late by the time I got my hands on them and unpacked them, but i took a few (badly lit) shots on my phone. My RD mags are US11, the reps are US12 (RD's are a size small for me but it doesn't bother me as I'd never wear them - reps on left, RD on the right). I put the reps alongside one of my Nike shoes i wear for size comparison, as you can see, the sole looks roughly the same size. The heel cup makes them look big, but these are a big, bulky shoe. I think I'm going to feel like I'm wearing moon boots when I've got them on. I prefer the smaller size as the proportions look nicer, but I wanted a pair I could wear on the odd occasion. You can see glue in some places and there are a few very faint dirt marks, but nothing you would really notice unless you've got them up to your face. The material is a little off but again, doesn’t matter unless you are comparing to the RD. The build quality feels very good, although I can't really comment on how well they will hold up as I haven't worn them, but Jedifyfe's comments show his are holding up well so far. The box is not bad, and I received the poster and the licence plate, nice attention to details.
