Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

They are not going to be shipping real 2011 MAGs for $700. NIKE did make a few extra pairs. Some of these are known them as "Family and Friends" which are not true pairs because one is a screen accurate (I heard US6?) with sock toe and the other is a 2011 US7. There were some white prototypes and no doubt, there were some "2nds". Even if the Chinese managed to get these "2nds", I seriously doubt that there is a neat 200 pair of them. Think about it. The white prototypes were the beta testers which were worn to test the electronics and overall fit of the shoes. They had perfected their product line well and truly before the 1500 pairs were made.

I hope the Chinese DO MAKE a better version of the replica we currently have, I really do. But to think NIKE would let 200 pair of their limited release product just slip out the door is a bit silly, especially with how "under wraps" the whole project was kept. Even this latest power lace thing didn't leak until they wanted it to.

What astounds me is that people think that when a company makes a high end run of product that there is going to be 50% written off as seconds. I still get emails to this day asking if I have 2nds for the optics of my anamorphic lens. Like really? We talking about $2500USD of precision optics made by the very factories that make lenses for Cannon Cameras. Do they really think that -
A the company would send that to me?
B that I would actually pay for that for my product?

The answers are NO and NO.

Touché. Sorry. And to finish off my comments on this post. I don't now nor did I ever think they were gonna send out authentic mags. I'm not an idiot. Just found it funny that there emailing me and who knows how many other people trying to convince them they have real mags. No harm and no offense intended by sharing those emails. Just thought people may get a chuckle out of it. Though I guess I was incorrect on that assessment. My bad and my apologies.

I'd love to see replicas of the white ones too. We need more colourways of the MAGs. Air Max 90's have hundreds of colourways. A few people have put up cool Photoshopped versions. We can dream I guess. The most we can do at the moment is buy what's available and recolour them ourselves like Jedifyfe.

I don't think I'd wear white MAGs anymore. The V1s were white and the best thing I did to them was to paint them grey. The one issue I have always had with shoes (and hi-tops) is they were white or they were black. Black MAGs look good and if they were to release colorways, they should make different colour options on them.

For the momment I have began my mod by toe steam mod, and prepare the place for the 9V mod by ungluing insole, I have no choice cause they have made a verry bad job when they install wire on the midsole and I have the 2 plugs under the otherside of the arch and ti was very very inconfortable for walk oO., I have unglued the original electronic just unglue not get it out cause I'm not ready yet ^^ (not EL panel and inverter and for install all of that I need have the famous cavx clear sole (but I'm not yet ready for order it beefore 2 week -_-.).

I got mine from someone I know in China. I don't trust those Chinese sellers who show pics of authentic shoes instead of the replicas, who knows what they'll send you.
So I'm always sure I get what I order.
It's actually interesting how they work(sellers). No seller knows or had been to one of the many factories that makes these MAG's or other replicas.
They are very secret and no one knows their location. They are in contact through live chat only. They arrange a pickup date and time at a local small warehouse where the shoes are delivered. They cannot stay there for long and can't see what's in the package until they are home. If there's a problem with quality or something they have to reschedule a new appointment to drop the damaged pair and get another.
NO refunds only exchange.
It's also only possible after hours until late at night to go there. Claiming it's very dark and sometimes scary.
They do this for warehouse and factory's security so that they can't catch them having huge stock of knockoffs.
I'm lucky I have good contact with this person in China otherwise I'd receive a whole lotta crap. She sends me pics from all parts of the shoes so I know for sure they are OK. Poor thing had to go back a lot of times for me to exchange ;-)
That's the main reason why they keep sending us these poor quality shoes.
Because it's a hassle to make sure they are flawless from when they pick it up.

I thought it was kinda funny there's a whole story behind these replicas I presumed no one knew...

There's not s lotta black pairs out there that are modded that I know of.

I don't have experience in modding,
So for now I'm keeping them this way until the V3 comes out , maybe it won't be necessary modding them much hopefully.

I also asked of her to make sure they're glue / stain free. She replied saying no problem. Took about 3 weeks but they came last night. These are worlds apart from the quality of the HCs. They're lighter, built with higher quality materials, fit about a full size down. I wear a Nike 11 and went with 10s and fit perfect. They even smell great. On top of that, the box is almost perfect as well, which seems to be a rare occasion.

Cool. Glad they arrived quickly. I just got some HCs and I don't think I'll be bothering to put Cavx soles on them, lol. But they are still good for wearing around everywhere. Strange how the V2s were produced much earlier and are still better. Aren't productions supposed to get better with time? haha all depends on the price I spose.

Unfortunately not. These are (as the name suggests) the SPORTS version of the MAG and like the HC, these are not tall enough and they have a different material for the collar. The would be kind of cool if they didn't have that different material on top as the cuff is a really good shape on these.

That's the one model I don't have. They don't look that bad, though the top part is wierd that it's shiny. Might be coverable though if one can find the right type of material. If it's 50% off, what's the link?
