Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Based on that, I would say customs have them right now and have not handed them over to UPS.

I tried skimming back through the pages here but with 126 currently it was kind of hard to do, but does anyone have here or know of someone who has a pair of the V2's and just left them totally stock and original? Just curious how long the lights lasted before going bad under just normal wearing them to go out to eat or a quick trip to the mall? Just average everyday stuff.

I know a few guys local to me that have kept them "stock". They only wear them for Cons, so their lights are still working. From what I hear from people that do wear them, the lights last anywhere from 3 days to a few weeks. Basically the wiring is crap.

Anyone here mod a black pair yet ?
I'm not that upset on the soles being yellow on the blacks because they do have that Gold-yellow swoosh look.
Would like too see them modded with EL though.

Your soles are not too much white but a little, maybe you'll have the luck to be able to remove easier the swoosh if they're an old version.

I made myself a white/black version with these mods :

- Steam toes/laces mod
- Stock swoosh removed wich was a fu**ing pain in the a** and did put white marine faux leather (easier to clean)
- Painted the soles and heelcups with walk on black paint from Angelus
- Splattered the soles with flat white paint from Angelus
- Painted heelcups logos, (Nike in flat white, Mag in tropical sun yellow)

I'll post some pictures when i'll be back home ;)

Amazing! These really look great!

I'd love too see those pics!

I was thinking black/red modding.
But black/yellow is also looking great.

These are also a nice look:

The yellow box is in surprisingly good condition, where did you get those from?

I know, I asked the seller to protect that box before she ships it, but I'm afraid that's not going to happen.
Those pics were taken before shipping.
I specifically asked because my precious grey MAG's had a rust stain on one of the laces.

When I got them they came with just a black plastic bag around the box,
So the box was dented all over.
No protection at all..
So I'll be waiting to see how they'll survive the trip.

Whats the average lifespan on a modded pair. I may get a pair and attempt to just do nothing more that fix the wiring on them front the walkthroughs on here and jedifye YouTube videos.

Not sure what you mean about the "lifespan". Do you mean battery life of how long the lights stay on or how long the shoes will last being worn. Both a subjective.

My batteries/lights last about 4-5 hours
My wear pair have been worn quite a bit and are still going strong.

Good news, guys. The site Gogoyeezy sends things you order (if a little slowly, took a few weeks). I got my 'test order' of Air Force 1 replicas, and they're alright. They weigh a lot less than my genuines (the ones in the below pic with the blue swoosh) but apart from the strap loop on the velcro strap being plastic on the replicas instead of metal and the tongue having less foam in it, they're pretty good replicas. Even the stitching of the liner under the insole is done well. So if we want to do that buy-in thing for a test purchase of these supposed V3 MAGs, I've found us a source that ships the goods. Fingers crossed they'll be pretty much like the ones that were advertised.

So far as wearing them? I've flogged these things to death. I was even sneaking them into work at one point. For a cloth shoe, these are actually pretty tough.

If you are going to the trouble to fix the wiring, you might as well fix the toe. Better to pull the shoe apart once and not have to re-do it later. Having said that, I only just did my sock toes yesterday. I did the steam method of toe slim back in 2013. I think that was my first true mod and went on from there. I have done 4 pairs of sock toes now and getting pretty at it now, so very happy with how these turned out. As for my US8 display pair, I will have to remove them from the uppers (yet again) to correct their alignment to the sole. .

sorry yeah I meant how long could I wear them before the mod wiring or lights crap out. Still not sure if I'll actually do this because everything you did in your videos I have never done before. I don't know anything about lights, wiring, electronics, sewing, soldering, or anything at all like that. I mean my skill level for that stuff is all a 0. Never done it never tried it and never saw anyone do it in person before.

I wore mine for a few months before I did any mods. Just found a photo on FB from 2 years back before I even steam slimmed the toe.
