Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

If running a 9V system, I would think you would use higher voltage LEDs?

I like 3V. Cheap and easy to run.

I think you're right.
The thing is that I bought a bulk load of LEDs in green, yellow and red, so kind of stuck to using these.

The only things i've had to do different is just use a different resisitor for 3v setup and the 9v setup.
3v wired in parallel and 9v wired in series.

I do like the 3v setup i've made slightly better personally as AAA batteries are dirt cheap compared with 9v batteries, and the rechargeable 1.2v AAA's have a really long mah, about 1000mah and you can get ones with 1500+ (but not sure if they are that reliable).

Im having thst led issue.. I bought the 12v leds on the list.. They work fine when i only light up 4 leds.. Once i do all 12 it doesnt even light up.
Running them in series

Do you guys know what resisitors i need??

Using 9v battery

Im quite sure that it is my LED board/ resistors that it's ruining my convertion. Had to solder 1 resistor to each LED!! To get it to work...so total 12 LEDs ...looks like crap, and is to big fit in the heel cup nicely...

The calculator is showing me 3 resistors.. 1 for eaxh color.. In series

22.4mw for 56ohm (Red)...13.3mw for 33ohm(yellow)..60mw for 140ohm(true green)... Thats what the calculator says lol..

Did i do it right?? Lol

I guess I am lucky that I have a local electronics parts store that have staff that actually know their stuff (part of their conditions of employment) and they stock different voltage LEDs.
glasses AWESOME!

I just wanna be sure this will work so i don't frak my shoes up, I have the unmodified Karen chen shoes, I have not charged them since i got them and is going to a convention next week for the first time and wanna be sure that the batteries are fully loaded. The battery charger i got with the shoes are (im guessing) american with a USB cable that goes into the charger and 2 contact going into the shoes,
As we don't have American electricity sockets here in sweden i am unable to use that. so my question is :
Is it possible to just stick just the USB contact into my computers USB port and charge the shoes? Maybe cavx or you other people could tell me :)

Yes you can use the PC (takes a really long time to charge this way) or use one of those USB charge adapters that run 5V.

@cavx @Jedifyfe @Vormz what 9v do you guys use? Mine last pretty long but the LEDs my green and yellow LEDs Dim after an hour and then the el stays on forever is there a specific battery I should be using to get the best performance out of these? Also has anyone velcroed there buckle to there shoes so they can have the straps undone like the real deal mags?

mine are the 880mah rechargeable batteries from China
Do they have a name or brand On them or do I just search 880mah 9v rechargeable?

I use regular 9v batteries but I light them up only few seconds time to time....
Yeah I'm using sony 9 volts right now but I want to be able to have them on for comic con I figure I'll have them off outside since the sun is too bright to see the el anyways but on inside and also at night. If worse comes to worse I'll just turn them on for pictures.

Make a YouTube video of your wearing them :)
I put a video on Instagram but I'm working on one for my YouTube channel
