For those who are saying it's our fault for bombarding these rep sites with all the enthusiasm for the Mags, and now they're taking advantage of it, don't forget that without that enthusiasm and constant emails to them, these might not have been made at all. Then you'd be crying the blues about "Why don't these knockoff sites make our beloved shoes??!?! Don't they know how popular they are??!!?!"
Even if the emails and communication from hard-core BTTF fans wasn't directly responsible for these getting done, and the Chinese would have made them anyway, I'd like to think that it IS because of you writing them. These are great times we're living in where the power of the internet can help make these things happen. Don't forget about back when that one employee of a certain factory was trying to "convince their boss" about doing more accurate versions after the V1's came out. We were so worried it wouldn't happen.
Remember to keep things in perspective. How many of us were DYING to have shoes for $200 when the auctions for the Gen shoes were up? And with lights no less?!?!! These are still awesome for $200. Sure, the price will stabilize some, but that might take several months. Do you want to wait that long to save $50-$100? The only problem I see with the $200 price is for those of us who want to buy more than 1 pair. It can quickly add up. But maybe we could get 1 pair now, and then when the price settles, get a couple more pairs for those who so desire.
I'm not at all saying to give in to $280-$450, but shoesbagonsale still seems to be reasonable at $200.
EDIT: like Nick, I'm not pulling the trigger this second either, and would like to see someone on here review a pair. But $200 is not the end of the world if they are good.
