Yeah, that struck me as stunningly bad when I first saw it - one of the reasons I thought those were renders rather than pics of the production piece; I assumed those where a stand-in "well, it can't just be floating in mid-air" thing for the stand. Easiest fix of the whole kit though :) And I agree with the one poster there - wish they hadn't molded the hangars as part of the hull as that's going to make it a little more difficult to potentially deepen them, and/or add the interior doors.

Yeah, that's the only big flaw in the kit. Manageable, not fatal. In fact, given how the rest of the kit doesn't require major surgery, like the old AMT kit did, scratching out a new main hangar is actually a nice challenge.

The hangers and the one piece engine block are unusual choices. However, they may be smart choices in disguise. If they had been molded as separate pieces they likely would have raised the price of the kit. Easy way to make a huge kit economical, fewer parts. I'm anxious to see parts up close to see the amount of actual detail present.

zvezda1.PNG Did you notice this at the 1 minute mark. I don't remember this on the Black Swan kit. will have to look when I get home

It makes sense, particularly when companies like Revell of Germany are going to be distributing it. They have to prove they made an effort to not skirt around it.

I CAN'T TAKE THE IN-HAND PICTURES!!!! JUST GIMME MY BIG STAR DESTROYER!!!!!
//BurnsOn - I'm sorry, it's my problem, I'll deal with it. //BurnsOff
