Well, the stars have aligned in a weird and wonderful way, and I've decided to go ahead and do a limited run of screen-accurate custom brass replacement handles for the Wand phaser.

Anyone offering an upgrade service for the AA TOS phasers?

I just got mine from Thinkgeek and seeing all the upgrade metal parts here makes me want to have it worked on. I don't have the skills or time to do it, but might be interested in having someone take it on for me as a commission.

You are better off getting a Wand Co. Phaser remote and the handle that will be available soon, that would cost you $305 versus modding a AA/DST phaser

I ordered a second phaser from ThinkGeek earlier today and noticed that the discount with the code actually shows 20% off $50, 25% off $100 and 30% off $150. With the phaser price at ONE measly penny under the $150 needed, I added a $3.99 "Doomed skull shot glass" to add to my shot glass collection and got the price down to $114.74, including the $6.95 shipping. :thumbsup

Got my phaser today. Love it. Love it. Love it. You can't change the P1 sounds unless you place it back in the handle, but looking at all the pluses, I don't mind. For you nitpicking rivet counters, get over it. This jewel rocks the casbah! Worth every dime.

Oh yes, in the nineties there was a laser pointer in the shape of a TNG phaser. You can see it on this picture:

What was inaccurate? I'm no TNG expert, never liked that series, but the laserpointer seemed exactly like the prop they used on the show to me.
