New Noble Collection Wands - Completely Inaccurate?!

I contacted Noble Collection about selling the name plates separately. This was their response:

Hello Zach,

Those will be offered at a later time but we haven't determined how much they will cost.

Please contact us again at the end of January.

Best regards,

The Noble Collection:

Good man, Zach - saved me an e-mail! That's one problem sorted...

I like the look of many of their wands... but I keep hearing that they feel cheap. I wish they were made of wood. I want something that feels real and feels like it will hold up to simple abuse... which doesn't seem to be the case (for what I hear) with these wands. Can anyone confirm?

Just because they are collectibles doesn't mean they can't be more well made. I am sure they are just fine if all you want to do is display it... but it IS a wand... it would be nice to "use" it every once in awhile.

They are very well made. Molded from the original props, painted well (not all of them), cast in resin. Resin is a very common and quality material. It just doesn't hold up to playing with them.

Edit: Not to mention that what you're asking for would cost so much money you wouldn't want to run around with them anyway. They would still have to be painted and wood dents and bruises like any material. It's important to realize the difference between what you expect out of a plastic toy and a prop replica.

Since they have to be painted, no matter what material they are made out of, yes paint can wear off.

Yeah, all I'm saying is that they are really great pieces for the price. If you want something absolutely exact, these are what you would buy. If you want to run around with them, get the cheap halloween toy. A wooden replica, meticulously carved stained and/or painted would run you way over $100.

Not trying to knock you or anything.

Is anybody else really confused by this:
The Noble Collection: The wand of Luna Lovegood

That wand looks absolutely nothing like her wand in the movies or any of the other replicas including the one featured on the same site in the Dumbledore's Army Wand Collection:
The Noble Collection: DUMBLEDORE'S Army Wand Collection

The same goes for a couple other wands, like Bellatrix's:
The Noble Collection: BELLATRIX Wand

The Noble Collection: The wand of Bellatrix Lestrange

What the heck is going on?!

My Theory is that they are new wands made by Olivander. Luna was kidnapped, so probably her first wand was destroyed by the Death Eaters, and the new wand was probably made for her by Olivander after they were rescued.
The other wands for Bellatrix and Lucius are probably also replacements made for them after Voldemort took Lucius's wand which then got destroyed, and Hermione stole Bellatrix's First wand.

The most confusing is Moody's. The end is the same but it is completely different starting at the silver ring. What are the silver rings for? Why does it look scaly?

As for Luna's, Warner Bros. may have just decided to change her wand design. I doubt Noble would just randomly make up a new wand design for no reason. As for Bellatrix's (and Lucius's for that matter), their wands are both stolen at Malfoy Manor. The wands that come with the new line of wands are simply the wands those two characters use after the originals are stolen.

In the book, the Death Eaters obviously confiscate Luna's wand when she gets captured and taken to Malfoy Manor. After they escape, Ollivander makes a new wand for Luna. I bought myself the Dumbledore's Army set as a Christmas present to myself as this is the only way of getting the original Luna wand (which I absolutely love now) - even though it involved buying doubles of Harry and Hermione's.

FOr Luna : It's because her wand get stolen at Malfoy Manor so in the book Olivander create a new one for her. Always in the book Bellatrix's wand is stolen by Hermione so she have to change it . Honestly read the book you'll have all the answers

You just brought up a thread from 2 years ago :p
Also, since these are movie replicas, and not book replicas, it makes sense that people try to understand why they are inaccurate to the movies.

It's also frowned upon to start a thread if the topic is already there, no matter how old it is, so how does one get more info without being bashed? Necroposting isn't great and I've had threads deleted because an old one already existed...kind-of a dilema there.

As for this, I completely understand the confusion, I was too. In the books the changing of wands is very important and they make note. however in the movie, the only important wand switch is the Elder wand, so almost everyone tags a character with one wand prop..and without any other important stuff nobody notices when they switch.
