Hi, names John, just getting starting started in prop making and I admit before posting here i posted in the nerf gun thread, have since then done some small tweaks and mounted it on the wall of my cinema room along with my small collection which i thought i would show here

basically its some

lord of the rings swords (glamdring and anduril) and the one ring

harry potter wands (herminones, dumbledors, rons..... i know i know i'll get harrys and voldemorts at some point but they are kinda ugly) and voldemorts locket (plan on building a firebolt soon)

iron man helmet, captain americas shield (want thors hammer too but not happy with the one you can buy so that will be another project someday)

indiana jones fedora and whip - (was going to make some sankara stones but damn silicone and resins for casting aint cheap so will just settle for making some from clay)

star trek tos phaser and comunicator - and discovery insignia badge - autographed captain kirk and picard - lots of painted plates

darth vader face thing (not very good will get a proper vader helmet someday) more plates and posters and a darth maul lightsaber (but its not there in the photos) and MANY star wars lego's

think thats about eveyrthing for now

Hello, My name is Brian, thanks for having me! I originally found this site looking for Dexter props. I’m a huge fan of the show, actually a huge fan of a couple of showtimes shows. I’m a video game geek, I love halo and call of duty games. Also big into thriller type movies (mind ****s). I like collecting different things from cards of certain basketball or football players to Pokémon, some props from movies or shows.....so yeah. Not really sure what all to put on here, hope to find some cool stuff! :) thanks!

Hello All :)

I'm currently working on a Jack Sparrow Costume (COTBP version). I'm trying to make as much of it myself as I can. I understand that this costume is quite involved and complicated and potentially can be a 'sky's the limit' in terms of cost, but I'm working on a tight budget, so I'm trying to do my best with what I've got. So far I'm almost there with the breeches, shirt and waistcoat (made by myself from a very altered version of the simplicity pattern) and I'm hoping to make as many of the accessories myself, or at least modify other things where possible. I'd really appreciate any advice on sources for cheaper materials or items, or any good tutorials and also if anyone can please recommend any good resource pics that show the scale of the real items, as I'm hoping to make some of the smaller things from clay if I possibly can. Thanks in advance, I'm really stoked to finally be on here :$

Hey guys, Finally joined the site after wondering how else I could find information on Wade Watts’ glasses. I’ve been a long-time lurker and have always been in awe of the creations posted here. Thanks for reading!

Hey everybody.
I'm Seth, I'm originally from North Carolina, now in Virginia. I found this site researching the ANH DL-44, and registered to better follow some threads on the new Blade Runner blaster and to inquire around a bit about the Malcolm Reynolds pistol. I haven't gotten into costumes as of yet, I have a few cheep replicas but I've been itching for something a bit more substantial.

Hello RPF,
For the past few years, I’ve searched this forum in search of information and found inspiration. Some of the work I’ve seen on here is spectacular! Being a fan of just about any movie, I’ve got quite a few project ideas I’d like to post and, like my username, on the search to I.D. what I can for others.

Howdy Everyone,

Figured I should stop by and introduce myself. I found this site through a friend of mine; and have recently developed an interest in crafting items for cosplay's that i'm planing.

I enjoy working with my hands a lot, i'm a relatively competant painter and wood worker. I love the warhammer aesthetic and am working on a space marine cosplay at the moment.

Cheers all,

Jon.

Hello fellow makers and lookers!
Thought i should finally sign up to this great forum.
I started with Airfix kits and SW toys and that has progressed to membership with the 501st Legion. With a completed ESB Vader and ANH stormtrooper now finished i am always searching for the next project.

Below is my 400mm Diametre Death Star.

Hey everyone!

i don’t have a huge amount of time for building costumes due to work commitments but fair play to you lot out who create some top notch costumes. I’m currently customising a mk 42 costume with new paint job and some upgraded parts and electronics.

The finished item should be stealth iron man suit. I’ll hopefully get some pics up soon for some advise from the pro’s out there.

Hello!

I am new to prop making hobby and that is why i joined this forum. If i heard correctly, Adam Savage is also member here... and from his Tested video i got this forums name. My first interest of props was Jurassic Park, but never ever i have got any props from that movie. Only same kind SGI workstation as was used to make dino effects :).

For now i do collect American Psycho (2000) related objects (not screen used, but same maker and model), maybe a list and pictures later. I am also interested to have Cliffhanger (1993) hero costume.

im a huge nerd about everything from tools to anime to video games to motors.

sorry for the incoherent rambling.

Hello there,
I’m roderotwe13, and after many years checking out the forums for guides or inspiration, I’ve decided to join. I love anything Star Wars related, but most of all I love lightsaber props. I’ve always come here to expand my knowledge and better my techniques. Thank you guys for having me and I can’t wait to share some of my work with you guys!

Hi Frankie here thanks for accepting , been building for years and now with children and cos playing and comic cons we are all working together

I can't remember if I posted or not, but I am Freebooter from Alabama. I am interested in the swords used by the various immortals in the Highlander Series.

Greetings All.

I have VERY recently become obsessed with cosplay and fabrication. My wonderful S.O. has introduced me to the idea of cosplaying with our kids. The oldest has been completely captivated by my first obsession, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Thank you Netflix. So I am taking my stab at creating us 3 complete costumes for this summers Comic Con trip. Including helmet kits and complete costume part sourcing or fabricating. I am going to be the White Tiger Ranger. Wife is being Yellow Sabertooth Tiger Ranger, Daughter is being Pink Pterodactyl Ranger. While I am a decent DIY-er, I look forward to getting suggestions, share my experiences, wins, and fails as I go along. I will be posting progress pics along the journey and will keep posting the best I can.

Hi all... Just joined therpf for no reason other than to be connected to an active community of extremely talented artists.

I'm a newbie in every sense, love science fiction, comic books, and movies.

I have no experience in prop making, but for about a year or so have been into model kits and miniatures. I've seen some excellent builds / paint jobs on YouTube and this forum and so hope to get a bit more into the hobby with time.
