Hi everyone!

The name is Joakim and I'm mainly here because of the star wars franchise. As a start I can tease you that I am working on a full detailed EE3 Carbine blaster made for 3d Printing, CNC and Blueprints as a source of reference,

This is a render made a while ago, but i bet I just would destroy this thread if I uploaded more.

Hope to know everyone here at the RPF as soon as possible, cya!

Hi all,
I wanted to investigate this this site to see what you all had to offer! Upon first glance, it looks like you all have a lot to offer!

My main costuming/replica interests are with Star Wars, Tron, and super heroes (Batman characters, Captain America, Daredevil, Iron Man, etc). I mainly work with leather, but I've gotten into thermoplastic work and sewing over the past two years. Next weekend I'll be going to Lexington Comic Expo with a few others dressed as Star Wars characters, which should be fun.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to being apart of the community!

Greetings all

My name is Alan from Aberdeen, Scotland I am fairly new to the cosplay and prop making world so still a lot to learn! what started it all for me was attending Star Wars celebration in 2015, seeing all the costumes and finding out about the 501st. I have subsequently joined teh UK Garrison and have a reserve tie pilot costume cleared, working on finishing the full tie outfit at the moment.

I came accross this site during my research and as my enthusiasm for cosplay and prop making grows, with a million and one ideas running round my head all at once I thought what better place to join for inspiration and advise.

Peace out for now, no doubt I will chat to many of you in he coming years

Alan

Hey all, thought I would join in the fun as everybody seems to be here. I'm a fairly young prop maker just starting out from New Zealand. I've done a couple of props although my latest is perhaps my best so far.

My main point of interest currently is video game props although i would love to branch out into other media's. Hopefully I can one day turn this into a job but for now I just want to create more awesome props.
I look forward to talking to alot of you fairly soon hopefully.

Game of Thrones
Walking Dead

Hello Everyone,

I found this site and joined up. My interests include costuming for "The Big Lebowski" movie. Found some great information here already.

Best,
Scott

Hi :)
I follow the RPF on FB and I am in the private group but I realized I am missing out on so many awesome tutorials on what materials to use and how to use them. I am trying to soak everything up because I am about to start my first original build. I will be making a lot of builds though throughout the year. Some very simple, some complex. I am excited to form some very good friendships and contacts along the way and I am always willing to share my insight as I gain it. I don't like to hoard information because the only person benefiting is me, and I am much more about educating each other :)
I live out in Beaufort, SC. I will be attending DragonCon again this year. I am so stoked for. Hope to see some of you there!

Hi! I'm Kathi from Ohio. I just attended my first convention a week ago. I am a big fan of Star Wars and Doctor Who. I have made a few costumes for my kid, but am very much a novice. I found this site because of my search for more information about Rey's resistance outfit. I am loving it.

Hullo, I'm Stacey. Just discovered this sight while searching for guidance on a Bender cosplay I'm making for my daughter. I've done a handful of costumes, but I'm looking to get into more of the foam crafting element of costume design. Here's the Groot mask I did using EVA foam. Still a novice, but that's why I'm here :)

Hi folks, been on the FB page for a while, finally got around to signing in .. :)

Hi All,

My name is Mike, and I have discovered a number of valuable threads in RPF about Space 1999 and in particular the new Round 2 1/48 Eagle Transporter kit.

I am looking forward to seeing some these built up over the next few months to inspire me to get a shift on with my own kit...

Cheers

Hello everyone!

My name is Aidan, I'm a 501st Approved Stormtrooper! I'm here because I'm working on a few costumes that I'm looking for parts and accessories for, and also tips and tricks for building.

I'm currently trying to assemble all the pieces for a First Order Pilot from Star Wars VII! Nice to meet you all!

Oh hey. Apparently I am supposed to introduce myself. Name is Lucas, I am a self-taught sculptor, started out as a hobby and I recieved so many requests for commissions it has turned into a full time job. I've been sculpting mostly cartoon characters for the last 4 years, but have been meaning to get into prop making as well, and thus have been lurking here a while.

Found out about the rpf via tested.com.

Hi everyone. New member here from Oahu (Hawaii).

Always loved Sci-fi and all the props that are in the movies. Never really did any builds or anything, but this past Halloween I decided to actually make something. I got some friends together and we went as the Sons of the Harpy from Game of Thrones.
You can see my entire build process here.

Let me know what you think.
My next idea is to go as Snowman from Blade 2, but I don't know where to start with that Samurai type of Armor.

Thanks and I'll see you in the forums.

Hii

I'm Jeanine from The Netherlands,

Dutch comic-con will be in 2 weeks and I don't have a cosplay now sadly but plan to make something for next year.
probably fallout power armor ^__^
all tips are welcome (I'm a total newb in prop making on such a large scale)
so I'm trying to find some guides/inspirations/tips on here

I won't be commenting on much mostly looking ^__^

Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years...

Matt here, expert in all things Batman and prop/costume making. I've been doing this since... uhm... around 2006, I guess. Wow, a decade flies by.

In all honesty, I occasionally lurk, and am looking to get my post count up so I can utilize the classifieds to clear out my closets. But hopefully before then I'll be able to contribute to some of the "how do I..." questions that people tend to have.

I've done a lot - A LOT - of costumes and props both for fun and for career, so with luck I'll be of some assistance!

Hi all from the UK.

Been a cosplayer for a while but I've only just started constructing my own stuff rather than commissioning it. And I figured this was a good place to come for advice and things.

Or something. Either way, hi!

Haldo from Houston!

Long time lurker and costumer. Just started playing with electronics in my costumes and I'm looking to build on that as well as start making sweet props.
