Hi everyone! Really happy to finally be a part of this community. Heard great things about this site. Looking forward to getting more involved!

Cheers,

Hello Everyone! Robert here. From the US, but living the dream in Hong Kong now. Just recently got a nice Creatbot DX02 printer, and looking at making a few things, so figured this might be a good source of inspiration, advice, and community. Also working on something similar to the E-nable project (donating prosthetic hands to people that need them), so if anyone has any experience/skill/interest in modeling stuff for something along those lines, to help people, let me know! (currently, my 3d modeling skills are non-existent)

Looking forward to being able to share some pics of what I end up creating!

Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for sometime so I decided it was about time I joined. I'm into cardboard and foam armour and weapons, painting NERF guns, Star Wars stuff, all sorts really. Here are some pics of projects from the last few months...

Hi my name is Jason and im from massachusetts. Iv'e always been a fan of the things that would bring someone to a site like this. Just recently iv'e been really interested in starting my prop collecting and costume making. Havent started anything yet (not sure where to start) but thats why im here. I attened my first comic con this year, got to stan lee and see some great costumes which got me excited about making my own. I remember back in 6th grade we made papermache casts of our faces and we got to decorate them. While everyone painted animals and other fun things on theirs I turned mine into pinhead from hellraiser. Anyway I look forward to all the fun things to come. CHeers

Greetings and salutations. I discovered this site while researching a build for a Red Hood Helmet. I've been making cosplay items out of cardboard for a couple of years and just recently got interested in working with foam. I hope to learn some new tricks and possibly contribute to the groups as well.

Hello everyone. I'm a new guy that's been cruising rpf for a while, looking at all the high quality builds and even saving some of the tutorials that have been posted.

You all have incredible talent and I look forward to hashing out some prop issues that come in the building process with you guys.

May our paths cross often, and your builds be challenging but fruitful.

Hey everyone, Kevin from Glasgow, Scotland here.

Just recently started looking into building props and always found myself on the RPF one way or another so thought why not register.
Big Aliens fan always loved the Colonial Marines and especially the M41A Pulse Rifle, so I have decided to throw myself into the deep end and go for the full build. Really looking forward to this project and sharing the end result with all of you, also if anyone needs templates for the armor I have recreated some using CorelDraw, they're not exact but may help, just drop me a wee e-mail.

All the best :thumbsup

Hi there, everyone!

My name is Adrian, and I'm from Madrid, Spain.

I founded TheRPF looking for information about Ironman props and pepakura files. After some weeks of research, and some months of lazyness (XD) I finally started my Mark 43 project, for wich this forum, and all the incredibly talented people around here, are been a very important source of information and inspiration for me.

Sooo... thanks for all the info, all the great stuff you folks create, and see ya!

Hello everyone! My name is Linda. I'm new to making costumes and props and a neighbor suggested I check this forum out. I do mostly alterations, but hope to get more into costume making. I've been sewing and crafting for what seems like forever. Pretty much, if you can dream it, I'll figure out a way to make it! I look forward to learning as much as I can from this vast wealth of knowledge that I've been guided to! Thanks for letting me be a part of your community! :)

Hi everyone. I'm Brian from Atlanta. I'm getting in to pepakura and I'm going to attempt an iron man suit over the next 9-10 months. We'll see how things go.

Hello everyone!

We finally got around to making a profile on the RPF, and we're excited to get to know the community a bit more.

For those who don't already know us, The Golden Closet has been selling production-made props and costumes since 1996. Through our extensive network of contacts within the entertainment industry, our company has amassed a unique collection of rare and historically significant items used in a wide variety of motion picture, television, and music productions. Every item we offer is meticulously documented and authenticated prior to sale, and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

Feel free to shoot us any questions you might have about our collection, and let us know if you're seeking out any special items you don't see listed on our site. We've got quite a bit in our vault, haha.

Also, if you want to keep up to date with our collection, check out our facebook page! We've got a lot of special items coming in, and we wouldn't want anyone to miss out!

Hi! I'm Jeff Zugale. I'm a video game concept artist, I work at Blind Squirrel Games in SoCal. When I was a kid, I always made props and spaceships from my favorite scifi (mostly Trek and Star Wars), and I've started doing it again. My tools and materials have improved quite a bit from paper, markers and tape. I'll start sharing the stuff I'm working on shortly.

You folks are all awesome and inspiring with your work, I'm pleased to join up.

Hi! I'm James. I joined this site in 2012 (I think) when I began LARPing. Life got in the way, and I never got around to building the costumes I was dreaming up. Anyway, a million years later, and here I am. I've been browsing the forums for the last few months, getting inspired and awed by the level of quality in these props and costumes. I've decided to try my hand at some costumes, starting with pepakura and 3d printing. I'm also learning to sew. I look forward to spending all my free time on this site and continuing to be inspired.

Hello Mortals, & Immortals!

This is Aya,

Found this site while looking for references in creating my Samurai Master Yi costume. That basically is it xD.

Hope i learn tons of things here :D

Hi everyone! I've been a member for about a year, I think, but I never introduced myself.

I'm Erik and I like Star Wars and Halo.

Right now I'm just adding more and more to my Fett kit.

See you guys around!

Morning everyone.

I'm Matt. I am interested in all sorts of costume. I used to work for a scare company as a zombie so have a fair bit of experiance of makeup and props for that kind of thing. I enjoy making costumes with props, on a "cosplay" sort of basis. I'm currently working on an Inspector Gadget costume, complete with propellor hat, for a halloween event so might be looking for some help with that. Other costumes have included Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean and Uncle Fester from The Addams Family (complete with lightup light bulb.)

Looking forward to having a look around and getting some great ideas. :)

Matt

Hi everyone !

I used to come here as a visitor for many months but right now, as I've begun to build my first lightsaber I've decided to register.

I'm a young french man. I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan but also a BIG fan of Batman (and other superheroes), LOTR and Assassin's Creed.

I've got an Altaïr cosplay from AC (I need to craft the hidden blade and the sword btw, thrownknives are almost finished...) and as I said I'm making my lightsaber hilt.

See you on the forum !

Hello, my name is Leah. I am interested in the Harry Potter prop making section of this site. I have already made many potions, books, posters, and boxes that are seen in the movies. I would love to talk to anyone who is as much a fan of Harry Potter as I am.
