Hello, my name is EmmaLeia,

I'm 100% new to even the idea of cosplay, but I made a plan to start.
My plan is the 11th doctors outfit from Nightmare In Silver, I already have the
electronic pieces, but I don't know what to do for the outfit.I've done some research
outside of this website p, and haven't found anything to come even remotely close
to what I'm looking for.. so I was just looking for tips and tricks, and maybe a
website or something, that someone can point me in the right direction of..?

An old friend Wes Ellis pointed me in the direction of this website, but I don't
really know how to use it, can anyone help with either the use of the website
or my cosplay?

Would be greatly appreciated from all, if any!
Thanks, EmmaLeia :)

hey all, I'm johnny.
been here lurking in the shadows for a while now, checking out all of the cool builds & getting plenty of helpful hints & tips, so I thought it was about time i joined you amazing people.
i scratch build anything that takes my fancy, always from cardboard & other stuff that i gather up thinking it may be of use someday, which really annoys the wife! lol.
i tend to start projects..but rarely finish them, so iv'e joined to hopefully remedy this.

Hey guys. Been lurking for a couple of years and finally decided to join. I hav attempted to make a dredd costume last year, had it done for MCM Expo Scotland but it fell apart after a couple of hours. This year im gonna try my hand at a Cal-hab judge based on the comic seeing as im Scottish anyways.

Hey there!

Long time reader, first time poster ;D

....Seriously, though. I don't know why it's taken me so long to register here to actually get a profile going.

Just wanted to shout out to everyone here that all that I've seen in the last few years since coming here for tips and tricks have been nothing short of amazing. The effort and passion that everyone puts into their projects is second to none. I know that being new to the DIY scene regarding costuming and props is new territory for me (especially the costuming!), so I hope those of you I look to for advice are patient and understanding with me having once been in my spot yourselves.

Looking forward to being part of the community here! :D

Hello from Nebraska.

New to the site but not so much making stuff. Working currently on a Lich King Armor so hope that turns out well.

Hi,

I just joined as I saw a few well made uniforms on google and followed them here. I make and tailor star trek uniforms, I have made the kirk wraparound, the Skant dress and the DS9/Voy uniforms.

I am here to get hints and tips on my next project the Wrath of Khan uniform and maybe a shoulder to cry on when my fingers hurt from sewing! (Did I mention everything I do is hand sewn)

Hope to get to know you all!

Niki

Hello!

Long time lurker, finally making an account so I can participate. So many fantastic things come out of this website, haha. Was lured here today by the siren call of Bioshock Infinite Vigor Bottles.

I've made my fair share of stuff over the years mostly involving sewing, foam, and clay. Hoping to get into more intensive processes like molding and casting.

Anyway, I look forward to participating.

Found this site searching for Sucker Punch decal. I was so badly to decorate a 1911 like the one in the movie but can't find the decals! Hope to find them!:)

Hello fellow RPF gang! Just registered and checking out all the amazing work you people do ! Truly inspirational ! I was turned on to this site by a fellow RPF member antcarb . I am into all types of art mediums and this looks to be inline with several, I build themed environment displays for commercial use but also like to dabble in lots of other stuff. In our field we utilize many fields. I personally am a sculptor, painter, welder carpenter etc..some of our work can be seen at studioycreations .com and you will get the idea of what we do, it's hard to explain some times. At any rate I'm happy to be here and don't mind me I'll be fumbling around the site for a while. Thanks and talk to you soon. By the way I'm Shane 42 and live in sunny south Florida PEACE

Hello everyone,

I first found this site while looking for Han In Carbonite help. I love to cosplay and am starting to make props. I currently have just a few cosplays done, including Ash Ketchum, Link from LoZ and I did a big part in the Twi'Lek Mandalorian cosplay of my girlfriend. am working on my Mando cosplay as you read this. For Anime Central in Chicago (which is coming up sooner than I want it to) I am working on Bleach's Soifon and Urahara (including Soifon's shikai form), along with Franken Stein and Medusa from Soul Eater. I cannot wait to have the Star Wars costume done however, because it is my favorite so far. Other future builds include props from Legend of Zelda, the game Evolve, assorted animes, and Star Wars.

I look forward to seeing all your creations. You can message me anything you want, just to talk, ask questions, show off work etc. Thank you for reading this.

My name is Harvey from NJ. I would like to thank you guys for posting your work & ideas on this in forum. I would like to start making Iron suits, but I think is going to be a long journey, before my works starts looking at the level of the members of this forum.

Hi RPF'rs, my name is Curt, AKA Darius from San Diego CA. I've been doing costuming as a hobby in some form for years, lately I've gotten more into recreating specific costumes, mostly from Fallout and have realized I am technically a "cosplayer". I mostly make things I can do In a workshop rather than sew. I look forward to learning more from the experts on this forum and sharing my meager offerings once I have an understanding of the posting etiquette.

Hello everyone !
I just registered so here is a little bit more about me... my name is Max, I'm 35 married and happy father of a 2-year-old boy. I live in Alsace, France.
I work as decorator/propser for theather industry (also as dresser) so I'm always intersted in building props.
Right now I have the project of building an acceptable lifesize ark of the covenant for an exhibition at the end of the year. I've seen some outstanding work here and hope to be able to discuss about it... Talk to you soon then !

Hello everyone I'm All The Man
my son has browsed the RPF for several weeks now and trying to convince me to do some props from movies I like. I was reluctant for a long time but after attending the salt lake comic con for the second time and seeing some awesome work done and some not so good I decided to make my first prop a captain america shield. As I looked for info I came across the RPF and got hooked. I'm from Brazil and been in USA for 20 years. Love movies and graduated in film but was not lucky to get a job in the industry. I hope I can learn and maybe contribute with other people projects. Thanks for having me

Greetings everybody, you may call me Keith. I am from New Zealand, I'm glad to have finally signed up here because I am a die hard Terminator fan, in particular Terminator 1 being the one I like to geek out on lol. I'm currently 17 years old and soon to be 18 this year, I will be putting together a terminator 1 costume eventually, so far I plan to get the pieces for the Tech Noir and cop shoot out versions. I am currently looking into an acting career soon and maybe getting into personal training. I love movie history and looking into film props, also getting into contact with people who are part of the production in films. All the best and much love. <3

Hey everyone;

Long time lurker but finally decided to join up. Mainly so that I could be a part of a community full of incredibly talented individuals [I bow multiple times]. Huge Marvel and Spiderman fan from long back. Sadly completely lacking in building talent but hey that's what different occupations are for!!! Finally have the ability to get spiderman costumes made up so have been searching through for helpful advice [thankfully I was aware of the hours ppl put into their designs and so will be making sure I send work to those who have done the hard yards]. Live down-under and work in healthcare so will be avoiding any face shots that aren't covered by beautiful spandex lol!!
