Greetings to all and to all hello.

I have come across this site many times while conducting research for various projects that I have worked on in the past.
This is a GREAT site. I have always liked what I saw here.
This is the first time where I can actually stop in, look around and say "HI"!

My primary interest is SCI-FI and paper (cardstock) model building (I also beta test build paper models for a few designers as well). Once I am able to, I will post some of the projects that I have made.

Have a good day.

Hello Im Tennessee, and I have never posted to a forum before because I tend to not like/use them, and hate talking. Im a theatre student or was until recently, now that I have graduated. Im working at a theatre doing anything that needs doing. I enjoy building props and other interesting set workings and gadgets, and am hoping to get to expand on that ability with new skills and materials.

hello,my name is vincent i am big fan of fantastik movies .
I love all the props replica of child's play ,gremlins ,aliens ,predator etc
i have a beautifull collection of life size at home ,i will sent more photos more later.
i live in France in suburbs of paris.
i find this forum marvelous and very various .
i hope find many thing of my passion .

Forgot to introduce myself when I originally signed up.

I'm Shawn. A couple of years ago, I was stationed at FE Warren in Wyoming and, since there's less than nothing to do there, took it upon myself to get started in prop projects, starting with a Ghostbusters proton pack (you can find me as Tyrael on GBFans). Since completing my screen-accurate GB2 pack with light and sound, I've made a decently-accurate slime blower and am in the process of a giga meter build using SolidWorks and 3D printing.
Eventually, I hope to construct a full suit of Halo MJOLNIR armor, possibly a set of War Machine armor, and whatever other objects catch my eye.

Re: The Official New User Introduction Thread

Hi there,
If you are still interested in buying real working props. I have created 4 that you may be interested in. I like to bring video game weapons to life. I created 4 weapons that can be thrown and return to the thrower. To date, I have built a working Gale boomerang from The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. A real returning Hell's Retriever from Black Ops 2 zombies. The Glaive from Krull and Sokka's weapon from Avatar the last air bender. I have a video for each of the them if you visit my page.

Hello everybody! I'm Jacxalz13, and I am very new in this.

My interest in prop making and cosplay only sparked recently after watching so many talented cosplayer playing their favourite characters from video game, anime, movie, and etc. I've been a long time fan of movies and video games that I feel I need to try cosplaying at least once.

This forum looks really cool and interesting. Looking forward to meeting new people and hopefully improve my skills in costume and prop making. :)

Hello all, glad to be here.
I've been registered for awhile but haven't posted and was lurking long before having registered.
I don't know what to really say about myself... I have a wife and 2 offspring (well, I will have 2 in Feb). I'm in the Coast Guard
currently residing in New Orleans.
I'm a bit obsessive about things that I'm interested in. If I enjoy a
movie or TV show I often want to own a tactile piece of it. Sometimes a T-shirt or a toy suffice other times I need more.
I've dabbled in "making" before but seem to be better at starting than finishing, I'd like to change that. I think the forum will help with that, the dynamic of sharing your progress should help me to keep making said progress. Also when and obstacle is met having a pool of knowledge like this to pull from will be an invaluable resource.
My main passion is Star Wars and hope to start working on some builds
from the OT.

Long Time Lurker figured I would do an intro post, been collecting props and stuff for a while now that I have some time want to try to build some of them my self!

My name is Luc,
I work for an Electronic Arts studio in Sacramento.
We make Mass Effect, Superhero, and Dragon Age mobile games and such.
I'm working on an Amazing Spider-Man build for SacCC coming up in March, and it will be my first Cosplay outfit.
I'm very excited to be a part of this great community and I've already invested more time in searching threads and junkyard sales than I've spent sleeping the past couple days.

My name is Michael.

I am an armature prop maker. I re designed this....$_3.JPG

It is true it is not an exact copy and that was not my intent. I love jewelry and wanted to create something true to its era. Every other necklace sold online was so cheap and easy to produce. I require depth in my art and I knew if It was something I really wanted. I would have to make it myself.

I have a small fallowing of fans who share a love for the necklace but this does not compare to what i have in store for my next projects.

I am excited to be apart of this community!

Have a great 2014 everyone1

Hey all!

I've been coming to the RPF on and off for many years but recently joined as my prop making hobby has stepped up, once again I find myself at the RPF! Seen so many wonderful things here and decided to join to share my ideas/work and more importantly tell people what a awesome job they are doing!

Hello

My name is Taku Dazai and I am the lead designer and fabricator at Walter Klassen FX. I have been building props and custom film equipment for about 16 years. I just happened upon this site while looking for some screen shots of props we have made. Really quite impressive and interesting. It is great to know that the work that we put into making props, set pieces and costumes is so widely appreciated. Anyway I have always loved building things so it is great to see others do the same, so I thought I should join this community. Looks like there is a lot of material to go through.

Thanks

Hello all,
I just joined after my interest was renewed in costuming, thinking I would start venturing into prop builds. My first planned project is a dl-44 esb version. Wanted to do a han solo costume for a while and esb is my favorite star wars film so I figured I should go wih that. I have good leads on a few pieces already like a mauser replica and flash hider. If anyone has suggestions for mounts scopes greeblies etc. I'd appreciate it, I have tools to do mods and maybe some very light fab work so I'll have to rely mostly on existing parts. Anyways glad to be a part of the community, looking forard to posting wip pics.

Hi! I'm iObito a.k.a "Glenn". I'm just new to costuming, i was just fascinated by the artistic members from this site while browsing on ironman helmets. Most of the member's works are jaw dropping and i'd really like to make one for myself.

I only got to make an iron man helmet mk 3... I do hope it looks like one. The reference came from another site. I was hoping to build a more detailed one. Especially the suit and all that. I am low on budget but i have good resources, that is why my first goals are the helmets and in pepakura or board forms. Current project is a helmet of Mark 42, i got some ideas and files from gimpee and those blackouts mk42 unfolds by streetsoul. My first tryout for gimpee failed but it is a good experience. Thanks to these guys i could have a goodnight sleep and not bother dreaming where in the hell can i get those references. Hope to build it in less than a month.

Hi everyone, I'm Michael from the Netherlands and am just starting out with foam. Actually its my very first start at actually building anything and so far all information I found here has been very usefull. Still need to figure out how to properly scale everything to myself but I guess I just havent researched that enough yet :)

Hello everyone I'm Garrett from Calgary Canada, I'm new to this only having completed one project but i am very anxious to continue onto bigger and better things, look forward to meeting all of you!
