Hello folks,
I am currently building/failing at a MK 6 iron man. Using EVA foam 7 and 10 mm thick, scalpels and hot glue. Comments and pms of advice on scaling, tips, and tricks are strongly encouraged and well-received. Have a good day.

Hi all. I stumbled across the RPF when searching the net for an Iron Man costume for a 50th birthday outing. I thought that it was possible to make something far superior to a store bought outfit so spent 9 months (I have a small child and a busy job) making it with help from files provided here by Stealth, Zabana and Robo3687 to name but a few. I could not have done it without the generosity of the people who put these files up and the amazing tutorials. It is not my intention to post an Iron Man thread as there are more than enough here. I am currently working on a marvel Girl costume for my wife for a Christmas party (nothing special really) and am going to try a Cyclops costume to go with it. You all inspire me to push my boundaries and it is great to be part of such a great community.

Hi, I'm Angel Acevedo. I found this great community whilst looking for Spidey costume inspiration and stumbled on Lunaman's guide to his Ultimate Spider-man costume Ultimate Spider-Man, building the suit - Imgur

I'm an Art Director / Designer for quite a few years, live in Miami, FL and always been a fan of comic book heroes since I was a little person. I've been following Cosplay for quite some time and never had the guts to even venture into it since I didn't know where to start. Thankfully I ran into this great community and have made contact with quite a few neat people.

Hoping to build a great Spider-man costume with the help of such talented folks here. Thanks for allowing us new guys to join. Keep up the great work! I hope I can serve this community with my talents as well.

Hi everyone,
I'm Brandon. I discovered this awesome community a little while ago, but just recently decided to join. I have been building/making since I was little (most of which was simple cardboard and paper models). My first real project, being a kid who loved Star Wars, was a full metal lightsaber build when I was around 10. Now, I am currently studying architecture and getting back into building. Projects I am currently working on is making/collecting some Breaking Bad replica props and making a ANH Stormtrooper stunt helmet. I look forward to learning and sharing with this great community!

Another newbie to RPF. I've been in and around the costuming community for a while but have never really had the time or resources to dive into it myself. Conveniently enough, now I do!

I found the RPF originally while looking for Tetragrammaton Cleric items, but it seems that this place is filled with wonderful little items and projects I didn't even know I wanted!

A friend introduced me to RPF and insists this is my "tribe." I've been a costume and prop designer for a long time and generally so busy, I haven't had time to see what others are doing. I've been so impressed with this site and I love the support and suggestions offered. There are some seriously talented people here and I can't wait to dive right in.

Hi everyone,

I have always loved the movies and especially the prop work an set design. However, I never thought I would be intrested in making my own until I started making my own costumes for Halloween a few years back.

I first started with basics costumes like - Roman Senator and Pimp (lol) - but I noticed I spent time online researching the costumes for time period accuracy and materials etc.

My first major build was for a Roman Centurion - I started with a basic steel cuirass - that I hammered out and cut down and upgraded along with the other items needed for that costume. It was a great experience and I loved it!

Last year - I did a costume for black ops and this year I am working on Han Solo ANH (with a DL-44 build).

I am looking forward to my involvment with RPF and thank you for letting me join!

hello all I've been a lurker for awhile. been a member for longer than I've been a lurker. but I never formally introduced myself. my name is Shawn. I'm a costumer and prop maker. I've done small projects in the past but am looking to do more complicated more uhh.... expensive things. I'm doing a film. making the costumes, props, etc. anyway. I'm also looking to make a replica spiderman suit and some other costume type things. im heavy into cosplay. I'm nerdy to the extreme and whiter than sour cream'!!!!! lol im also a bro and I sew. im nerdy. I like anime. I like starwars and star trek. I like doctor who. I cosplay even though im on the weighty side. yup. im as nerdy as it gets and then some. hell my room looks like something out of a superhero film. like a lair lol or secret base. furthermore its awesome to be a part of this site and to get to know people just like myself

Or rather I'm back! Very long time member but haven't been logged in since the middle of the last decade; indeed I can't remember what my last post was about. Lurked on occasion but have only recently decided to wade in the deep end again.

Hi all. I'm Desiree. I've been costuming for almost 15 years...got started when my college theatre needed a costume mistress. From there, I went on to get involved in historical reenactment (just the SCA actually) and that's where I've pretty much stayed until now. My husband, who can't sew to save his life (but that's fine because I LOVE sewing and building costumes) wants to start cosplaying characters that have armor and prop elements so I immediately came here & registered. Our first project for the hubby is Dr. Strangefate from Amalgam Comics and I haven't decided who I'm tackling but they're for Dragon Con 2014. (Dragon Con is the one convention that we get to EVERY YEAR.)
