Hello

I started building props when I was fourteen and started with a wooden replica of Zabuza' sword from Naruto
after that I just steadily made new replicas until I had a pretty good start on a collection
I just got on the sight because I was looking for the jeans from InFamous and have amp amp to show off
looking forward to being part of this community and learning a few new things.

Hello All,

Thank you for having me on the site and I just wanted to say that I'm a Newbie to all of this Replica Movie Props and Pepakura Costumes, actually I've been dressing up as my favorite Heros and characters from TV and film since I was a young kid and now I'm in my 40s. Unfortunately due to my mother's health situation I don't work, I just take care of my mother and my doctor said that I need some sort of "outlet or distraction" to keep myself busy and one of my favorite things to do is build things and put stuff together. When I first visited this site after I saw some Tutorials on YouTube from Stealth I had to jump into this pepakura foam costume building. I've been hitting some Home Depots, Walmarts and any other store online and off to get material to build my first suit of armor, which of course one of my favorite suits of armor has to be the Iron Man movie Mark 2. It's one shade of color that I love, Silver/Chrome. I've been checking the forums for the Mark 2 pep files but I guess the Mark 3 is probably just the same as the 2 but if anyone can direct me to the Mark 2, I would really appreciate it. Once again thank you for having me on the site.

Hi everyone,
I'm a big-time movie nerd and used to get "Bantha Tracks" when I was a kid. I should have gone into movie prop making...but I chose to fly helicopters in the military, instead. I am fascinated by the work you hobbyists, amateurs, and professionals do. I think models and costumes are what makes movies so great (great acting can't overcome crappy fx and costumes!) This may turn into a neat hobby for me.

Hey everyone!
My name's Mason, I'm from a very um...quiet part of Kentucky as you could say Haha, but still manage to find materials needed to make costumes. I recently started and completed a "Iron Patriot" helmet out of foam, I will post pictures and start threads, and anything that might interest other prop builders. I'm especially interested in the Jurassic Park props, we from Jurassic Park Cosplay Netherlands are beginning to build props and collect them to use them in our cosplay group and maybe in the future for a stand at events and festivals.

I'm one of "those guys" who is into a little of everything, especially model making. And what are props, but models of the item they are to represent?

I found this forum through a thread on papermodelers.com re: Visitor laser pistols from the original "V" TV mini-series. HOLY COW, you all do fantastic work here!

I'm hoping to pick up a modeling trick here and there, but so far I'm taking great comfort in the fact that others are geeked out as much as I am over stuff like this.

May not have much to contribute (yet), but thanks for letting me come aboard anyway!

My name is Brad. I've been a movie freak for all my life. Favorites include Kubrick, Hitchcock and Kubrick! I started off making balsa wood Star Trek phasers and hand sewing tribble back in 1975 and I've been collecting props repros ever since. Great forum!

Hello everybody,
Signed up a while ago but have been super busy at work and haven't had a chance to say "hey." Heard of the forum from tested.com's Adam Savage podcasts and a brilliant weapons prop builder (Ken Palkow) i met a while back.
Been wanting to make something as a gift for my brother and was thinking of doing the cross of coronado from "The Last Crusade."
Are there any additional rules/etiquette guides for a newbie you can point me to?
