Hello everyone,
My name is Lenny. I was going to post here, as an introduction... alas, I was tempted and pulled and posted to the queen facehugger thread first. Sorry!
Anyways, I'm a special f/x make-up artist. Currently residing in Lake Havasu, Az., US. (Don't ask me why!) restarting everything, and starting up my little shop. So we'll see how that goes. I'm a horror, as well as sci-fi (and entirely too much of a theatre) nerd. And I love working in the shop. If I didn't have bills, etc. I'd make monsters and molds 24/7!

Anyways, I don't think there's too much to say about me? Hopefully I'll unfurl more throughout postings. Talk to you soon!

Hi everyone

My name is Alex and i have been interested in comic books for around 5 years now but only really started getting interested in costume making very recently.

I currently live in Perth Australia and will be attending all comic book/ pop culture events trying to show off my home made costumes, my first attempt will be to make an Amazing Spiderman Costume based on the recent movie and then more there after.

Carnt wait to get involved with this community hoping there are some people from Perth on here

Hello!

Finally joined just recently (although I've been lurking for too long, using pics as reference and such - I've repeatedly come accross the rpf for months as I've gotten more and more into working with plastics and costume building. I havent really done anything spectacular at this juncture that really deserves a build thread or anything, but have really enjoyed looking at what everyone is doing. I'm more active on whitearmor and the sith lords detachment, as my main interest is in star wars, although I'm seriously considering a full iron-man costume as well (those things are friggin schweet).

Hello all! I'm finally making the transition from lurker to real member and slowly working on a variety of props and costumes including Demoman from TF2 and several Star Wars costumes. Hopefully I will have work I can show soon, and I just want to thank the members of this forum for the wealth of knowledge. The information here has been invaluable in answering some of my oddest production and reference questions!

Hi, my name is Martin, I am into automobiles used as props in films. I own one of 2 remaining screen used stunt cars from Christine, the Skyline from the bridge jump in 2 fast 2 furious, and a 1981 Delorean Time Machine, and the Harley from T2. You guys all do amazing work here. Most of my stuff was rebuilt by me as it was not perfect when obtained. Some horror props have made it into my collection as I am near LA and know a couple people here and there.

I joined a few weeks ago to share my work and discover new ways of doing things from other very talented people. The project I am working on at the moment is the Jumanji board game from the film. My name is Rob. I work with fallout houston and my wife does a LOT of cosplay and I have been making props and armor for a while now. I'm always getting new ideas and working with someone that had 30+ years exp in the field so my skills are always growing. I will do my best to post progress of some of my projects here. some are BIG and some are small. Cant wait to see everyone's projects and hope to get good feedback from my projects.

Hello everybody...

I'm Shadow Drake from sunny UK (Its sunny right now). Proud member of the Army here for a good couple of years and a complete crazy nut who just has as much fun as possible ;P

Always been a big fan of comic book heroes, sci-fi and fantasy. I've always been fascinated by all these costumes I see online that are made and amazed at the detail and hard work that goes into them. Now after finally going to my first Comic Con and seeing these in person.. the bug has bitten me hard and I want to make some fun stuffs.

Right now been messing with Pepakura and making a helmet or 2 now and after watching just about every you-tube vid of TheHeroTutorials by Stealth.. I'm now diving right into foam-work stuff for now and starting it all with making an Iron Man and War Machine with a good pal of mine over here.

So wish me luck and thanks again for all the help you guys have given me on the site and looking forward to a good long venture into this great hobby =)

Hi there,

I'm James ... I'm an Australian who moved to Newfoundland in early 2008 and last October I relocated to rural Nova Scotia.

I'm a tinkerer. I have 30 years of experience in aviation ground support electronics, 40+ years working on cars in my spare time, and have spent the past 4 years playing with a Universal Laser Systems LASER engraver/cutter.

The LASER engraver is about to be joined in my work shop by a stereo lithography 3D printer, so I have a new learning curve to look forward to.

I was looking for some paper props that I can make for my friend's birthday, then I found this site.
Now my Harry Potter fandom have been recalled, my room might be filled with Harry Potter props soon. ^^
I have been roughly doing small projects on harry potter books in the past few months (obviously not as good as all the experts here),
hope that someday my technique can be as good as the others that I can share

My name is Hoyt. I'm a Texan who lives in the gulf area. I love superheros and comics in general.

I've been watching tutorials and looking at all the amazing Iron Man costumes being made makes me wanna just run out and buy tons of foam rolls and get to cutting! I am going to try to make an Iron Man build. I'm a tinkerer and i love working with my hands and building things that seem illogical or impossible but still bring results! If anyone has an awesome links or things you wanna share please pm me or just find a thread I've started and post it.

I'm glad to have found this place and I hope I can bring alot to this community.

I'm Rein from the Netherlands. I've been lurking here for a while now and I've been into movie props since forever. I've been making halloween decorations since a couple of years and I've branched out into making and collecting movie and game props. I love building things and have just finished the Fab. Academy. With my new found knowledge I want to start tackling some more movie/game props instead of just the gore and gruesome halloween decor.

I love reading buildthreads (even more than seeing finished builds!) so keep them coming!

Hi guys/girls, although i joined the rpf over a year ago, this is the 1st time since registering that i have been able to get online and introduce myself,
my name is Blue, i live in (not so sunny) Blackpool England, and am a big star wars fan.

I have just started to build a life size star wars wampa costume, i will sort out some of the pics that i have taken so far and start a build thread on here, as soon as i'm able to.

anyhow i'm happy to be here, any questions anybody has, just ask, im an easy going guy and am always happy to chat/answer questions etc.
