Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey,

Thought I would finally take a part of the community in stead of just lurking in the shadows. Found this page when I was working on my initial Iron Man suit, and the resources found here are great. Yeah, I know, Iron Man, real original, but still, thats the current project.

Have been pepping alot, but moved over to some foam instead now for convenience, and partly because my pep-parts met with an unfortunate accident.

Other than that, I am a norwegian, and I can say nothing else than that I envy all the resources around the world that are apparently hard to get here.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

HI guys, I'm from Singapore and I'm a comic geek for as long as i can remember. I just love looking at all the cool builds here. I feel like a kid in a candy store looking at all the cool costume replicas and prop replicas. Unfortuantely, i don't have the luxury of time or money to contribute anything so i'm just living vicariously through all of you here. If i do have the money though, i would love to get my hands on the entire costume set of Captain America TFA and Avengers version as well as TASM... they look awesome here... Unfortunately again, being a dad of 2 kids, it's not gonna happen for a long time. cheers guys.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello all,
so with one hand I type while I keep my friendly crack-addict 100lb hippopuppy off the keyboard... don't ask-just accept and move on.

Been lurking a while and a half now, thought I registered, but guess not. am on dentedhelm and 405 oh and paperkraft though I have not had the time and energy to contribute as much as I like.

What I do? well, am a crafty single mommy whose 12 year old girl is into video games (uhm, yah, got it from her mom) So, the little girl decided last minute last year that she needed to be master chief. That got me onto pepakura and my fingers have not been my own since.

This year, last minute, I did the skyrims daedric armour for her (mostly while sitting in the hospital with her.. it's funny walking in with paper, walking out with a chest piece and helmet)

I am still new, all things considered... I love the idea of replicating for 'home and family'...

All of what I see here is far above exceptional and it encourages me that with enough time and a bit (ok, a lot) of knowledge gleaned from this site I will be able to create something amazing.

so greetz all, glad to be here, glad to see some truly inspiring projects

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi everyone,

I made myself a pretty decent LoTR Legolas costume about 10 years ago. The 2 short swords carved from wood were the most challenging and my favorite part of the build.

Since then, I haven't built any costumes.

I've been a big fan of Iron Man, and since having kids, my kids are big fans too. Now that Halloween is over, I figured I'd see if I could make an IM costume for next year.

So I googled it, clicked on some youtube link that looked cool... it was Stealth doing the Hero Tutorials...then I was hooked. I just picked up some 110lbs card stock and am about to start pep. I think I'm gonna pep and cast the helmet, and foam the suit.

Now I need to figure out which suit I like the most.

I'm really happy to be here, there are some very talented and helpful people on this site. I look forward to being a member.

Thanks to Stealth for your extermely helpful tutorials.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi.
I think I found this forum in search of picture of the V series pistol.
I pop on here once in a while looking at what people are making when I feel like having my mind blown.
I love looking at the fan made Iron Man armor.... simply amazing what people on here are doing. So many of you should take a stab at making this sort of thing a career. Or go on SyFy's Face/Off or something.
Anywho... just wanted to get my first post in before I start jumping around.
Thanks for all the great work you guys do. I have no skills in this what-so-ever. The most I can contribute is praise, compliments, and possibly purchase of some of the good.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello RPF! I've been browsing the site for a few weeks now mostly looking at the Junkyard for some good props that I'm interested in buying. Other than looking for props to buy I've come here to try and improve what little skill I have, not to mention to gather ideas for props/costumes.

So far I own a custom built Lightsaber (my design, made by ALW). A Bladerunner PDK which I've customized by adding Leather to the grip and painting the barrel silver (not much but still). I also have a MR Stormtrooper Helmet which is the pride of my collection. Other than those the rest of my "Props" are Hasbro toys mostly lightsabers.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Ohaidur,

My name is Mik and I'm in University (second and final year) for Theatrical Production (majoing in Props and Minoring in Wardobe while dabbling in Model Making)

I've stumbled on this site many many times while researching various topics and I figured I should probably set up my nest and stay/join.

My passion is movie replicas and prop work in general so obviously this is a good place for me!

Excited to be here!

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Call me Q,
I have been eyeballing so many people's ironman builds and now I want to try and do one, or two or three. I have made different costumes before, always my own concept, but with all these resources in information available I think I could make something incredible

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello All,

I am a huge star wars fan. I am looking in to making my own stormtrooper and scout trooper costumes. I have researched and I am looking into building it out of foam. That seems to be the easiest and most cost effective. I am excited to be apart of this awesome community.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello! I'm yet another new member whom has just found this wonderful forum, and I hope to make great use of it! I found it via TheHeroTutorials/Stealth.

I'm looking to start making some cool cosplay and go to as many conventions as I can! My first is an original character called Sven Boltman, which I wore at the Edmonton Comic Con and will wear at this weekend's Pure Speculation. However I didn't make any of it myself (other than repair, modification and the character design) which I intend on changing for all future cosplay.

After practicing making other cosplay my long term goal is to make this armour. If you know of any specific tutorials I should look at, like making props with moving parts or creating the clothing underneath that armour, then please message me!

Thanks, and have a good one!

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello, I found the forum by looking up props on the internet. When I saw how many people had the same interests I wanted to become a part of it. This is incredable. Thank you for having me.
