Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi everyone! I'm Nicole, a long-time costume/prop enthusiast who's really hoping to get into making some stuff this year.

Three of the big costumes I want to make are Shidou Hikaru from the anime Magic Knight Rayearth (she's the red one), Arwen's coronation gown from The Return of the King, and Lady Sif from the recent Thor movie. Lots of swords and armor, to be sure, so I'll doubtlessly be poking around for advice on these forums.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi, all! Name's Jeremy. I've been to the site quite a few times in the past to research things and kind of lurking around. The community here seems quite friendly and receptive with constructive criticism and not bashing. I was quite active on the 405th until they took it down a few days ago to hunt a virus bot that's lurking their site. I figured I'd sign up here to post what I've done for my son for this Halloween. I'm going through withdrawls not being able to update my progress there. . . . . LOL. Anyways. . . . please check out my son's build once I get it up on here.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello All,

I stumble on this forum while doing some research for a project & I'm so glad I found it. This are so much great stuff on here.

I like all sorts of movies. My favorites however, would be Blade Runner & Alien (... yep, big Ridley Scott fan). Runner ups would be Cloverfield & Jaws. I could go on & on, but I'll stop there lol.

I look forward to checking in & see what pops up. I'll post pics of my project as soon as it's finished.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi, my name is Reginald. I kind of migrated from the 405th site. I've been making props for awhile, just never made an actual costume. I come here often for tips but since I'll be starting some new projects I just registered so that I could get better help. Glad to be here :)

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

I'm new to RPF, looking to learn as much as I can about the prop making.
I plan to review as many threads as I can to pick up tips and tricks.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey Guys!

I'm Justin. I am currently on Active Duty in the United States Air Force and very new to this hobby. I would like my first build to be a Iron Man Mark IV Suit as I think that is the best one.

I am a Mac user and own 0 PCs. I have looked everywhere and googled for pdf formatted files of an unfolded Mark IV foam modified but I have had no luck. When I do find ones labeled .pdf, when I download them, they are .pdo files. I am stationed in Japan so when I open 4shared.com to download the ones from here, I cannot because the site is in Japanese and I have no idea how to switch it to english. Can someone please email them to me? I would sincerely appreciate it.

Thanks.

McFly

Hey guys

Glad to have found you, thanks to Mr. Adam Savage for mentioning this forum in many different interviews. I like to build movie and video game prop recplicas. So far have completed Darth Vader's lightsaber and the Eve Hypo from Bioshock. Currently working on Big Baby from Hellboy 2. Looking forward to becoming more involved with the forum.

Hello all

My name is will and I have been working in a scene shop (more of a theater shop) for about 4-5 years as a painter/ carpenter and was looking into messing around in props and sculpture for fun. Herd about this web site from talk between friends and signed up to check it out. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! (cough) pardon that outburst, but yes as a movie fanatic and the straight up nerd that i am i hope to meet some friends and work on some cool stuff :)

Thank you all.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello everyone, I'm in the same boat that Spartan_127 from the previous page is in. I'm a veteran member from the 405th (I'm a moderator over there actually) and miss the forum environment. I've lurked here for a while, mainly for reference purposes as many of the builds that happen here are quite top notch. So, I figured I'd go ahead and sign up to try to get back into the swing of things.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

I've been following Steve Neill's garage and came across this site through one of the links on his blog. I'm a model builder when I have time and kit collector (in the thousands) and have been interested in movie and Sci-fi props for a few years now. My first movie prop is the wedding ring that Benjamin Bratt wore in the movie "The Great Raid." It's kind of neat to see that ring on his finger while watching the movie knowing it's just a few feet away in the jewelry box. I'm a big Indiana Jones fan, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Star Trek, and a variety of other programs/movies. I'm a senior project engineer and while my work doesn't leave me much time to model these days, I'm hoping this forum can help get me motivated to start working on the hobby again. Happy to be aboard!

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

So glad I found this website! I'm interested in all the awesome Harry Potter props and ideas on this site. I've spent quite a bit of time researching foods/candies from the movie. I've got a pretty thorough list and am looking for packaging printable things and other props. Exciting!

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hey guys! I have sewing for a while and my friend just introduced me to RPF. I've been taking slow steps into prop-making and I have a full plate I'd like to do already! I believe my main project is going to the be the latest build of Rescue. I feel great about talking to people in here already after seeing all the Iron Man peps! I look forward to learning from this awesome place!

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Well, this site is definitely a must to belong to if you are into props of any kind - lot's of information here. That being said, I of course enjoy props, although I have never purchased any; I like to make them. I only make them for myself right now though. Time wise it is tough to get a well built prop done when you have a regular job and a wife and kids. If you've been there, you know what I mean. An hour here, two or three hours there, sometimes if you get five hours on a prop for the week, you're doing good. My current prop is the Blades of Exile from God of War. When finished, I'll post the build process here. Current wip is here Blast! Replicas | Facebook
Anyway thanks for all the work and contributions done at this site. To have all the information that is here for free is great.

Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello all you people.
As long as a topic has something to do with horror movies or sci fi I will always be there posting.

Hello, I am The Cylon, as you can probably tell i am a fan of Battlestar galactica and I usually mod video game systems but I love costume making. I made some Lord Sauron armour a while ago and I quite enjoy creating things, I hope to make many costumes in my time here.
