Hello Everyone, My name is Andrew and I an a newbie to the RPF. I am interested in Horror and Particularly Friday The 13th props. I recently started working on some Prop Machetes. On one which a purchaed at Walmart I broke out the handle reground the blade and put on a wooden handle and the other I used aluminum and cut it to shape and added a wooden handle. I painted an elcheapo Hockey mask but it didn't turn out like I would like but this sparked my interest in prop making. Thanks for Your Time.

Hi everyone! I'm Laura and I'm from Louisiana, USA. I recently began making props last year. Primarily making weapons from video games to match my costumes. Last year I made a Mass Effect inspired shotgun and this year I'm tackling the Cain. I'm also in the process of making a working Mantis (it'll shoot foam darts). Later on, I plan on making some blaster pistols from SWTOR. I don't create my weapons in the usual way... I typically take a Nerf gun and modify it from there. I know my props aren't perfect but I'm doing it all by hand, no power tools or anything. It takes more time and work but it makes me feel even more accomplished when I'm finished.

Hi there, My name is Steven.
I have been meaning to introduce myself for a while but never got around to it until now.
I have been collecting move props for many years and have got quite a mishmash of odds and sods from all kinds of things.
My collection ranges from films like Titanic, Harry Potter and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory all the way to Thinderbirds and Josie and the Pussycats.
I am a massive Doctor Who fan and own 2 full size Daleks, a K9 and have The TARDIS in my garden. and have a few other full size Star Wars costumes just for the fun of it.
My favourite movie of all time (also the first time I went to the cinema to at the age of 3) was JAWS. A film I watch about 5 times a year if not more.
I love all things Jim Henson (and have a replica Kermit puppet) and when I think I could not get any sadder, I make my own puppets.
None of my props are in any way "hero" props but I like them all the same.
I am proud to stand tall and say "My name is Steven, and I'm a GEEK!"

Hi, my name is Ken. Came across this site while looking for the sheriff's uniform from The Walking Dead. I had just ran in an 5k Zombie Dash in Michigan as Shaun (from Shaun of the dead), and now the organizers are planning another run for Oct. 27th so I'm on the hunt for another costume.

Hello guys I've been checking this site for a while now and I've been thrilled with everybodys work they have put on here and I wouldn't mind trying to do these myself I wouldn't mind building from scratch too.

Fantasy war

We are two co-workers, who in the evenings We share the same hobby replicas of shields, helmets, weapons etc etc. We are currently working as polyester fiber materials, in Polyurethane casting brief, and we are starting in thermoforming, it is impossible to get in Spain for thermoforming sheets, but we're at it. The last project completed was three full units IMPERIAL CRIMSON GUARD. of which were very proud of their finish. Made of polyester fiber, and painted with red acrylic two components. work that is occupying me right now and finish a project is a WOOKI, I'm having trouble getting KANEKALON hair gray. And it's a bit too so I contacted this page yesterday termionados powerful work of Wookis see, and some TURFFUL, I've seen very interesting. We have different pictures on FACEBOOK reinforcement processes in the page of STAR WARS Gran Canaria, for more imformation, and see our work. What I want most is to learn much more, I exchange ideas with: The RPF.

Hey all, got introduced to this site from a wonderful new friend...who is lurking around somewhere I'm sure....

Anyways I'm new to the EVA foam armor but have been idolizing people for years that make thier own ie. Halo, Star Wars etc, so I've decided this is going to be the place to put down some roots and get cracking. Hubby and I have decided we are taking on Star Wars as the first project, so we'll see how it goes! I've got loads to learn using pepekura and what not so I'm sure I'll end up with questions!

Heyyy!

Alright so I'm pretty new to this forum I've been looking in making some outfits. Not sure if I'm at the right place or not. I found the forum while searching for a "HOWTO" to make an authentic Legends of Zelda: Twilight Princess costumes. I lack art skills in anything creative probably BEGINNER in GIMP and PhotoShop. So hoping I can find some wicked great tips here.

With that said greetings to all.
My goals are the following:

> Authentic Pirate ( not Jack Sparrow )
> More realistic Link ( good material too... not that cheapo stuff on eBay )
> Assasin's Creed ( any version. this may be a super challenge for me but oh well )

Hey Everyone! I'm Eric! I go by GothamsBatman on all other costuming forums! I am on BOTB and I am a Moderator on the new forum HDR. You should go check it out, if you haven't already! Well, right now I just finished my Arkham Suit, just waiting on the pieces to come in. I have 3 in progress comic suits, including the '39 batsuit. I am pretty much a bat, but i tend to venture towards Star Wars, Indy, and Iron Man often. I also am a HUGE video game fan.

Hello everyone,

I stumbled onto the RPF looking for inspiration for a rush build of a Captain America costume that my son and I pulled together for him to wear to work (AMC Theatres, Avengers opening weekend!)We settled on a Bucky Rescue outfit and we had seven evenings to brainstorm, shop, and assemble.

While it isn't up to the meticulous standards I''ve seen here I hope you don't mind if we stick around for a while. We've always wanted to learn how to build armor! I'm Carl and he's Bill and we're already fans of a lot of your work...

I'm Justin. Last year I made a Ghost buster proton pack and it turned out pretty awesome. This year I'm looking to make something different.
