re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi,

I'm Paul, from Ontario, Canada. Been lurking for awhile. I'm a big Star Trek fan and a fan of all the old police shows from the 50's, 60's and 70's etc. Very interested in collecting police memorabilia including badges and replica id's from all the old shows.

Heya there!
I'm Amanda and I'm from Denmark. I'm really really into movies, but also gaming, reading, etc (most of all fantasy and sci-fi).
Another of my passions is dressing up.
I only recently started dressing up as movie characters and collecting movie props.
But here's a pic of my dressed up as a female-zombie version of Alex DeLarge. :D I made it 2 hours before the Zombie Crawl, so it's not very accurate, but people could see what I was, :D

Hello I’m Rick. Have been building stuff on and off since the mid 70’s. I am a wood worker that dabbles in metals and plastics. After reading and following threads here for about a year, I thought I would join. Hopefully I can contribute some.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Greetings all, Jeff W., 25 year old geek here. I heard about this forum from Adam Savage in a talk he gave that I watched on YouTube. I've always loved the objects in movies and own a few replicas from the Star Wars series, but it honestly never occurred to me to make my own... It's an idea that has really latched on to me. If anyone has advice on how to get started building my own prop replicas, I'd love to have the insight.

I'm not a professional builder of things, but I've always understood building toys (Legos, K'Nex, etc) really well and just need to acquire some new basic skills. Like I said, any advice would be welcomed. Thanks everyone.

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

I've noticed we have quite a few members from all over the globe with varying levels of English ability. I think it is awesome how the love of a common hobby can bring so many different people together!

As a courtesy to some members who might be a little shy about their English skills, I want to offer FREE OF CHARGE my help composing posts. I am a certified TEFL teacher, a published author, and I've been working in Korea since 2007. I am here now, at school, as I write this(it's summer vacation though, so no classes. I am not online when I have class).

Mods please delete if this is in violation of any rules. I don't think it is, seeing as I am not expecting any compensation of any kind. At all. I just want to help make the RPF a little more accessible and user-friendly to our non-native-English-speaking brothers and sisters.

I am not proposing we hold English sessions by PM or in any threads. I believe that would be a violation of the RPF rules.

What I think would be great is; Whether you have a simple and short question, or a lengthy information or "build" thread, PM it to me first. I can proofread and edit/make changes as necessary. You can proof the post before submission to make sure I haven't changed anything significant. As a bonus, if you pay attention to the changes I make, your English will improve. All while doing something we all love!

No one is perfect, and even I make mistakes, typos and take shortcuts in forums. I'm not trying to make anyone perfect. This is something I want to offer to the RPF(I have not offered this on any other forum), as a token of my appreciation for creating a place for us all to meet.

Its so good to be here :thumbsup

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hello:

I one of the new/old prop replica people...meaning, I'm new to the forum (I can't believe it took me so long to find this place!), but have been an artist and prop maker for many years (amateur though).

For the last ten years I have been focused mostly on Harry Potter; I'm a huge fan and an avid prop replica maker. My specialty is widely varied, from books, sculpture, painting, calligraphy and a whole number of other things. My home if FULL of stuff, collectibles and prop replicas, and I'm always looking to make or purchase more...it's an obsession, as probably most of you know. I've sold stuff off and on on eBay, but mostly work privately or for myself.

This place is FANTASTIC, and all of you are so immensely talented
. :thumbsupCan't wait to explore more.

Hi!

Despite my join date and # of posts, I've actually been a member here for years....but the email account I registered with is long gone so I can't recover my account.

But anyhow, here I am again.... :)

Hi all

I am a new member (just joined minutes ago actually). I found this forum by searching google for Sentai information. I was into MMPR as a kid, and after a while lost interest but I HAVE RETURNED!! Thanks to being introduced to Gokaiger.

Any questions ask, and I'll answer (I can't go on about myself....sorry)

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Hi all,
Fantastic forum here!

My name is Ron Caudillo and I like to design paper models in my spare time. Always looking to give back what I run across to help me design more things.

These models can be freely downloaded and printed onto cardstock (available from Office Depot and places like that). After printing using your home printer, cut out the parts, fold, then glue together to form surprisingly realsitic (and sturdy) 3D models. I use regular Elmer's white glue so this is a very inexpensive and rewarding hobby.

Here are some links to download my available models:
