Hi, i´m from Spain, (sorry my english) i like make make props in my free time. Was a hobby but now is a little work in this crisis time. I´m music, exactly trumpet teacher but i´m stoped.
I´ve many props from movies and anime make for me and others for cosplayers or a local carnival groups.

Hi all,

My name is Talon Frost. I'm a 26 year old grad student (just one more semester >.<). I feel like I'm a bit late to the game, just started working on my first costumes/props this past year. Went to Dragon*Con for the first time last year and saw all the awesome stuff people pulled off. Figured it was time to give it a go!

I've started my own NCR Ranger build, following in Kommissar's footsteps. I'll try and post when I finish it.

Who knows, maybe I'll bump into some of you at D*Con '11!

Hello everyone!

My name is Richard, 28 y.o. student from Southern California. My current field of study is Multimedia Design and Development and I hope to get into the entertainment industry working in the development of movies. I'm also planning on creating my own movies as well, the only thing that is holding me back is I don't know enough people to use as actors around me I haven't built or collected any props yet, but this month once I get my dremel I plan on jumping right in and creating something. I love many different movies from Indiana Jones, to Ghostbusters, to Star wars and many more. It is hard for me to get into many of the recent movies because they seem so cheap with the overuse of CGI. I'm also a fan of Doctor Who and Red Dwarf as well as several other TV shows. I'm mostly here to learn and admire many of the talented artists who post here, and I hope very soon I can make my own contributions.

My name is Andy, I'm 26, and I'm more of a hobbyist. I got into prop making how many people do I imagine. I wanted to do a Ghostbusters costume one year and stumbled across the completely unrelated site "The Big Yellow Box". I'm still quite a beginner at all of this. I've only made a few custom pieces for friends and as christmas gifts. I'm working my way up though. I'm starting a custom "blaster" build that I'll post shots of as soon as I get some time to work on it. I'm more into custom and personal stuff rather than actual replicas though.

Hello my name is Darren, I am junior hobbyist, not in the big leagues, but every now and again I see a prop I like, hence why I am here *yay.

I once made a Darth Maul costume from scratch, a couple of GI Joe ones, (Cobra), some Doctor Who Tardis mods (new Tardis into old one) I just recently discovered your site because I was looking for something specific. I created the item myself then found a more professional job already available here, so I am hopefully buying one!

My last project was a custom built Tardis, I am now on a boring project creating a professional scrapbook (never done one before), by bringing one out of the digital world and into the real one as a permenant keepsake. This is harder than it sounds as its a purely digital creation so none of it exists, so I have to recreate everything from scratch.

Im currently trying to stay away from electronic projects as I have a tendancy to over wire everything (lol).

Leds...you can never have too many...

I found this site after losing an eBay auction for a Jurassic Park Cryocan. I am a huge fan of the films, particularly the first. I enjoy collecting Resident Evil, X-Files, Batman, Mars Attacks and many other types of nerdy goodness. :0)

Hey all,

I'm in the UK. Been lurking on here for eons - waiting to register. Finally got about to it. LOVE costuming, now thinking I should do something about it. More a buyer, than a builder at this stage...

Planning a Crichton costume (Farscape), Green Arrow (Smallville version) and Cyclops (Movie or Ulitmate) and Judge Dredd (Any version!).

Have always loved the way a costume could make an ordinary bloke seem more heroic, and completely blame an early exposure to Stormtroopers for making me gay! hahaha.

Well hello there!

My name is Jackson, or SlipKnoT is my username.
I am in Florida and loving it.

I found your site because I am actually looking for a War Machine helmet. Originally I was going to buy one, but I believe I'm just going to pep my own. I intend to show you guys all of my work on the way through!

Basically, I'm a special effects artist. I am very good at sculpting masks, and I'd probably sculpt a better Iron Man helmet that I can make with a pep file! My only current project is a Jim Root All Hope Is Gone mask that I am making for myself and fans in general. For you that don't know, Jim Root is from SlipKnoT, a heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa. Also, SlipKnoT related, I made Corey Taylor's Vol.3 mask out of his masks original material, which is Self Skinning Polyurethane Foam.

But that's about all I have to say for now. If you want to know more you're going to have to learn yourself, in these forums!

Hey guys,

My name is Chris. I have always had a huge interest in props and it fits pretty well with my action figure, comics, posters and film collecting. I really want to learn how to create my own props and have an interest in one day making my own Ghostbusters' pack. The only prop replicas I currently own are some Star Wars autographed helmets, Luke's light saber from MR, the MR Muppets (Kermit, Gonzo, Animal), Indiana Jones fedora, Indy fertility idol, Indy Crystal Skull Sword, Ghostbusters' PKE Meter, DC Direct GL Movie Lantern & ring, and the biggest replicas I own are Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc. Hoping to grow the collection with more replicas and maybe some real screen used props!

Hi everybody! My name is Luke and I have been doing 3D art for sometime. I have been dying to work with my hands and after messing with my motorcycle I started making a pirate coat. I am big into pirates and hopefully will have some real world art soon. If only I could afford a 3d printer I could model and print anything with real ease!
