Hi. I'm Rachael, and I am in the UK. I collect primarily original props from Harry Potter, though I am also interested in items from Return to Oz, Nightmare Before Christmas, The Crow, and other movies too. I'm a big admirer of prop and wardrobe artistry and hope to make some new friends.

Hi. My name is Jenni and I'm not exactly new to the RPF. I was here from 2002 til about 2006, then I got busy with my career and wasn't doing a ton of personal costuming. Getting back into it now and my new husband joined as well - NotAPropGuy - though he's better than he thinks and has already made a couple things for me. We are gonna costume together and still deciding what's on the agenda for this year.

I'm a professional costume designer for film and TV, but got my start cosplaying. I work primarily in fabrics and leather and have done both replica costumes and original designs. I am usually found at Dragon Con every Labor Day weekend since '02.

I work primarily in fabric and leather but am venturing out to new materials and methods of creating costumes so that they are durable and wearable for long periods of time. I am not so much about 'accuracy' in replicas now as I am in getting the visual cues and executing the costume well so it fits, lasts and looks good in photos and on film. I don't necessarily like to replicate what's popular, but look for characters that fit who I am and I can relate to on some level.

Hello everyone. I'm a long-time fan of this forum, going back to when it wasn't even the same url. Now that I've had some time to think and observe :unsure , I hope to be a useful contributor.

My holy grail of props are:
1. The pocketknife from "The Saint," with Val Kilmer. A reasonably working version.
2. Inigo Montoya's rapier from The Princess Bride, fully fenceable and balanced for a six fingered man, of course
3. The wrist dart firing gun from Moonraker.

Cheers,

Ben

Hi everyone.

I am a long time tinkerer with making many things and have been working on masks and helmets for a while. Currently in the process of making a T51-B helmet from Fallout 3. I have found much inspiration from this site over the past 2 years and decided that i might try and contribute to the community instead of just lurking in the shadows!

I am always blown away by the many talented people who are on here and enjoy reading about others builds almost as much as making my own!

Hey gang, I was a member back in the late 90's but then got side tracked with a new job, wife and baby. Well life has finally calmed down a bit (only took a little over 10 years, lol) and I'm back to one of my loves and intreats collecting props.

I'm Mike Atencio in El Dorado ARKANSAS

Hey, I'm making my first full length movie. A sci fi / paranormal / horror flick. I'm here to pick up ideas and tips about the props I need. Also to exchange the same with other builders and artists.

Hey, I'm a professional film-maker, so I'm obviously interested in amazing talent such as this :D However, I also love making my own stuff. That's why I got a group of about ten friends and we've all agreed to make some remarkable stuff...once we know how! Right now, our current project is the mass effect Shepard and Garrus costume as a way to learn sci-fi armor. And then the portal gun in order to get some kind of grasp on handheld devices. I've seen Volpin's blog and know he's registered here too. So if him or anyone else here on this awesome forum could help, I'd greatly appreciate it :D

Hello to all.

My name is Billy and I'm currently in the Ft. Hood TX area. Got into costumes and props 19yrs ago but ONLY Star Trek Klingon. After a deployment 6 yrs ago I transitioned into Star Wars Han Solo. Now I'm looking to move into Wookiedom. I've been in contact with enough folks and seen some FANTASTIC Wooks that between my wife and I, we can not embarrass me :lol. Anyway as gift to myself post deployment I'm aiming to attend C6, (This will motivate me to use the wookie hair I've had for 1.5 yrs) but my friends and I are all trying to do Bounty Hunters. So I thought Snoova would be fun.......but come to find out I'm trailblazing here and with the deployment in the way I will only have maybe 2.5 to 3 months before the Con. Any ideas on how to do his armor/accessories?

Hello!! My name is Eric Bullock. I am 37 years old, and an artist and graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh's Industrial Design Technology program 1992. However, I make my living in another field, since artists, except the lucky and most talented STARVE!! I am a total TREKKIE, but not to the point of weirdness...honest. I am looking to make my start in the model building, and this seems the best place to get star trek merchandise without paying the arm and leg prices of Ebay or, God forbid, Rodenberry.com. Anyone with cool Star Trek stuff, federation only, please conact me at elvampiro89@yahoo.com. Also, I am on facebook, like most of the rest of the free world, at Eric M. Bullock...I look forward tomaking your aquantance.

Hello all,

Another lurker-turned-poster here. I can't say I've ever officially made the jump into prop-making, but I find a lot of appeal in these forums as an illustrator and sculptor. I truly enjoy reading about your inventive methods when it comes to prototyping, building, and finishing pieces. There's a lot of imagination floating around here - looking forward to participating.

Cheers

Hello, I was turned on to this site by a friend from another blog I frequent after a long, drawn-out conversation about prop Stormtrooper helmets. He suggested I come here and research what's out there since this is one of the best places to gain a vast amount of knowledge. And, thanks to this great site, I found what I believe to be the PERFECT Stormtrooper helmet currently available.:love

I collect just about everything Star Wars and have ever since I saw ANH at the drive in when it first came out.

Since first coming here I have found numerous other SW props that I'd LOVE to get and can see myself going broke VERY QUICKLY here. :$

I'm looking forward to contributing here and learning a lot more about all the great stuff here. :thumbsup

re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **

Oops, didn't notice this thread before. My name's Andrew, and I've occasionally poked around to look at the build threads but recently I've been doing research for Han in Carbonite projects. Most of the searches led to threads on here so I figured it'd be good to finally join up since it seems like a pretty friendly community.

I don't have many replicas as of right now, my airsoft collection kind of doubles for a replica collection. I have a KSC USP Compact (24) and Tokyo Marui P90 (Stargate SG-1/Atlants). The only "prop replica" is a resin MACO rifle that I won in a contest. I'm hoping to get into some small projects such as a Royal Guard force pike and similar items until I feel confident enough (and have the money) to tackle a replica Han in Carbonite.

Greetings all! First time poster but long time lurker.
I've been cosplaying as Silent Bob for about a decade now & recently put together a costume of his superhero alter ego.

Aside from that I'm a total Star Wars nut. I got introduced to the custom saber hobby about 2 years ago. Since then I got a part time job converting Master Replicas & Hasbro Force FX sabers to removable blade LED star versions. I'm looking to branch out more into custom sabers though. Just recently finished my first.

I'm working on a few more. A friend of mine asked me to make him a matching pair of Sith sabers, in return he's agreed to make me a custom old school Cylon helmet & a Curiosity Core from Portal for my fiancée.
Great to be here & I look forward to contributing to & being further inspired by this fantastic forum. :)
