I've often dreamed of a site like this but didn't think it possible....now I can't stay away from it. Who says the internet is only for porn sheesh. Anyways, good to be here. I check in about every three hours when I'm home and love to see the stuff going on here. Hey everyone, a good friend of mine directed me to The RPF when I mentioned I was getting into design and 3D printing and I think I'm here to stay. I'm a 3D modeler with a decade of experience in the video games industry. I've just recently gotten out of video games and am working on my own projects. I'm a HUGE fan of 3D printing and I hope you will see at least a few projects from me in the future.

I really need to figure out what my friends nickname is over here... it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Hello there, ladies and gentlemen, my name is Scott and I'm glad to finally get around to registering here. This place comes up quite a bit on my google searches, and now that I'm trying to get into some "srs costuming" I figured I'd make an account so I could ask questions/post things.

So here's some stuff about me. I'm a big ol' nerd (but who isn't), I've dropped out of every form of engineering that my local community college has to offer because I spent too much time daydreaming and I dropped half my classes to take sculpture instead, and I like any and every excuse to dress up in costume, be it at a convention or at a theme party. Today I manned up and bought the prettiest little pink sewing machine ever, and decided I wanted to start making awesome costumes instead of pretty okay costumes. I'd post some things I've made in the past, but after looking around here they are quite embarrassing in comparison.

Whats goin on powdered toast fanatics my name is redbridge1 aka Jono and i like to party, I was pointed here by a friendo of mine who heard I wanted to build an Iron man suit so hello and i hope you are all having a good day/evening with little or no galactic turmoil....
I am most definitley a complete noob when it comes to costumemaking, I started using peparuka program about two weeks ago have been playing around a little bit with different files and actual folding the stuff I think ive got the hang of it-ish.....So now I think im ready to play with the big boys and be tought in the ways of costume/general building/nerd fapathons eyc.
So basically i guess im here looking for a point in the right direction, advice and of course some friendly banther
When i say noob i mean nooooobiest of noob so be gentle oh god its like a prostate exam!! So ill need all the info i can get ill be like a green irish spoonge soaking the info up.
And if im in the wrong website tell me to get the fudge out and ill leave and find my own way across the interhighway

Well since Registration for this site re opened I guess I should introduce myself too.


My name is Andrew Smith I am about 26 years old.I got introduced to the RPF via the Alien Legacy forum(same username on there).I am workin on completing my 1st ever USCM costume.so far I have a set of Spats armor on the way,my very own HGC Pulse Rifle thanks to Russ(thanks by the way Russ I am still loving this Rifle).The correct Jungle OD boots.Also have a set of MAA BDU's otw.Anyway I am currently set to attend ITT Tech in 1 week(March 21st).I am set to study Internet Technology.I am skilled and educated Automotive Tech currently working on my ASE certifications.I am currently workin as a web designer for 813 Designs.

I am not sure what else to add,so just ask me whatever you want

I found this forum by doing research on a Blade Runner blaster, but I ended up finding so many amazing projects, I just had to stick around! I'm a semi-regular poster on white-armor and the 405th, but the RPF satisfies my multi-prop jones like no other.

Hello all!

Obviously I'm new to the RPF. I want to say hello and hope that I will be able to get to know you all a little better. I'm a super noob when it comes to mods and replicas and pepakura. Though i have tried my hand at some Pep, of which my first crack at a Daft Punk Guy Manuel helm got destroyed. No biggie cause I wasn't very far. Id like to make it again. If i can also I would like to try making a Deadmau5 head also. My big hopes are to make a Tron costume. Not sure witch one exactly, but maybe a Rinzler/Tron itself would be fun. Decisions... Decisions.

Anyway, hope you all are having a good time!

My Name Is Akos Szecsi, Nicknamed Dork.
I live in Budapest, Hungary. I'm an Airplane mechanic, with an "On Board Armament Technician" license, but I work as an Air Traffic Controller.

I'm building plastic models since 1991, playing tabletop strategy games for 14 years now. I love to build models, especially sci-fi vehicles and such.
I'm new in prop business, but I'm eager and full of ideas.

Fave movies: Aliens, Starship Troopers, and any movie with cool guns in it.
I love guns, but I'm not a psycho! I love them as a technical instrument, and not something made to kill. You may all know, Guns don't kill people! Other people does!

So that would be me in a few short lines.

Hi everyone hows it going,i'm SqueekinOrka, you can call me squeeks for short. From Canada, love Tron Legacy (that's how i found RPF),Stargate Atlantis,Orcas aka Killer whales,acting,ice hockey (GO CANUCKS GO!) etc.

I have been browsing here for a while ever since i came across the Tron Legacy planning your costume.I've become a program and i'm stuck in the Tron world i'm a legacy nut lol.Since i saw the movie there's so many things i like about and one of them is the costumes.

I don't have much experience with costumes and making things but i would love to have a go at making my own Tron Legacy costume. I do hope to learn afew things from the thread and get started on it. For now i shall start planning and sketching a design and continue my hunt for a Rinzler ID Deluxe disc. (Can't believe no deluxe discs are in Canada)

Hey everyone!

So my name is Josh and I am 20 year old college student/Magician from Florida. I cam currently going to school to major in Animation, but over the past year I've decided I either want to minor or double major in film. I've always been interested in prop/costume making, but never had the time. After watching the show Face Off on SyFy I decided I really wanted to get into the prop making and maybe special effects of movie making. I haven't made anything yet but I a plan on making a few different types of journals soon!

I´m Michael (please call me Micha! ^^). My profession is Cabinetmaker.
i live in Hamburg/Germany and i´m interesting in reading , Guitarplaying or watching senseful & intense Movies (No comercial Bulls***) ... and Computer hard/software.
By the way, i´m 51 years old - but i look like ~ 38.
