Hello-
I just joined 2 days ago and am loving the posts! I enjoy collecting/creating Harry Potter props. I have had such fun with the free HP paper props shared here! My collection has grown immensely overnight. A picture of my new books is attached- so excited! I am also attaching a picture of one of my favorite prop creations- the cursed opal necklace. My current project is Riddle's diary, also pictured. I still need to burn more pages and add the blood and ink splotches.

Hey I'm 88OrBust. I am a huge fan of the BTTF films the Indiana films,and most marvel super hero films. I'm into sculpting, woodworking, prop production for short films, and experimenting in electronics. I'm hoping I can learn a-lot here on the forum, from all you wonderfully talented people.

Hi there

after lurking for a while i thought I'd make the leap and register. Unfortunately I haven't made anything yet (well apart from a Sandmans blaster resin kit about 10 years ago) but after viewing the posts here I've got the scratchbuilding bug. I'm well into sci-fi and can watch a rubbish film if it has a really good prop in it.

I've decided to start with a AER9 from fallout and a Sam Slade Robo-hunter blaster from the 2000AD comics. They'll probably take a while as time and skill are not something I have a lot of..... but how can i say it..... I want these props lol

Hello,

Like many I bumbled onto this site when picking through other pages on the web. I was looking for good images of the motion tracker from Alien. I got the images and thought no more about it :ninja (naughty I know). The images were used to make a ridiculously over detailed 3D model of said motion tracker. I have now moved on to trying to make real things from 3D image or at least planning them out in 3D and then make them... The transition is far from smooth but is getting there.


As soon as I get/make something that is worthy of posting I will, until then I'm just soaking up knowledge.

Hi everyone.

Im a middle aged women (gosh doesnt time fly when travelling in space), who lives in the Uk.

I was drawn to this forum by my NEED to make a River Song notebook. I found the thread and saw everyones brilliant versions so decided to join.

Im very much into my needlework, make my own bags (satchel types with multiple pockets, flaps, long handles etc).

I can remember when they used to have a show on that did the props for Star Wars etc and how they used hair dryers etc for bits of the space ships and so on. I must say it has always intrigued me.

I hope to get my creative juices going and making lots of stuff.

First off I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Ryan and I've been a lifelong star wars fan and collector. I primarily collect prop replicas and anything that's studio scale, might be more befitting to say thay I go bonkers over anything big, detailed, limited and gnarly...

I'm married and a father of one (daughter), I work in real estate and I surf 3 - 5 times a week...my passions in life include the ocean and the surf, movies and star wars in particular, collecting collectibles/toys and music.

Hello everyone,
I can only be described as a starwars fanatic/freak and movie fan. I found this wonderful place (RPF) in a very round about way, I was looking for model airplane plans as an idea to make a crib mobile for a friend's expected baby and discovered the wonderful program pepakura and I haven't looked back. I have pepped a few things and I want to make just about everything I can find, BUT first a stormtrooper helmet and then armour, which will probably be followed by Darth Vader or robo3687's amazing Iron Man files.
