Hey,

I'm Jelly. I'm learning sculpture and mold making for a few projects of my own. This site kept coming up in my research so I figured I'd join.

Hi--Fantastic site. Found you while doing research for some Halloween prop making and I can tell already I'm going to spend A LOT of time here.

Hey everyone. I'm just getting into prop making because of the wonderful advent of 3D Printing.

I've never really been very handy or confident with making stuff with my hands as they are always botch jobs or I get too intimidated but I have been a professional 3D animator and modeler for years so now the printer gets me past the bit I have trouble with and I can have the joy of cleaning up and finishing prints.

I'm looking forward to building new bits and pieces and seeing what you pros think of my efforts.

Hello, followed some links over from The Walking Dead in reference to some of the Grime's uniforms. Was very excited to see the level of craftsmanship
and detail the members here are showing in their builds. I may lack the skills to duplicate many of the props I fawn over but I can definitely appreciate those who can.

Hoping to try some Pepakura builds for my youngest, he's a big Halo & Star Wars fan. Never made anything complex before. But it will be fun to try and to see what others have done.

Hello guys, I'm new to all of this. I'm new to Star Wars, so don't get at me for not knowing everything. I've recently gained interest ( A LOT) in the movies, and I've been watching them over and over lol.
I'm looking into getting the new Episode 7 Stormtrooper helmet. I was referred by someone on instagram to look around here for one that he purchased from here. So if anybody knows of who I can contact for one of the new helmets help me out!
Thanks!

I've already posted a bit but, oh well. I'll introduce myself here. My name is Courtney aka Brokenhyperlink and I'm 17 (18 tomorrow) and I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I'm still in school and I'm a huge gamer. As you can tell from my profile picture, I like TF2 but I also like many other things like Sonic, Zelda, Assassin's Creed and a lot of retro things. Also don't get me started on 80's films and music! They truely were the best time which I unfortunity I couldn't be part of.

I'm here mainly for Back To The Future and games like TF2 to see how everyone made they're props and to cosplay! It's great to be part of a forum like this!
See ya later, glitches!

Yes,
I am a BOF (boring old fart)
I like seeing people build afv's in 1/76 scale (especially Matchbox or Revell)
that's it...

G'day folks,

I've not done a huge amount of this stuff, but I've done a little prop making and effects and I've long had a fascination with the entire field. Adam Savage mentions this place often, and I finally decided to join the community.

Name's Geoff. Looking forward to learning a lot.

Hello ladies and gentlemen.

I'm Nick, I'm a 40 something Science Fiction fan, Horror and Fantasy fan. I love most things in that genres and grew up with the original Star Wars films in the cinema, Doctor Who on TV and a Spider-Man comic tucked into my school bag. :)

I've been looking at the forums for quite a time and thought I'd best join up. Sadly I don't do much modelling these days, but hope to do so. I am currently designing plans on my PC for a few designs and can share them here.

Hope everyones been loving the Star Wars trailer :)

Hi! My name is Amy and I live in Eugene, OR. My 30th high school class reunion is this summer and I am making props and costumes for our photo booth. It's been really fun - just need to finish up a pair of GENE SIMMONS boots - and I am golden. Thanks!

Hey gang,
I first found The RPF looking for Indiana Jones Prop tips and now explore all kinds of things. Have really been enjoying the Book of Eli and Supernatural prop threads. I have made some Props but generally do a good job finding what I am looking for online. Looking forward to joining the conversation.
Thanks!
Billy

Hi, I am Titas from India. I am a MSc pass out preparing ofr PhD. I am a new user here. I have been following pepakura masks for a few years and due to lack of availablity of many material, I makes masks with paper mache. I will be posting my works soon.

Name's Kit. I'm a professional model maker with a lot of super cheat-y tools at my disposal and I like to build things. I'm not 100% sure I'm on the right forum, but I heard about this place due to my recent obsession with Adam Savages podcast and I came here to talk about my space man spiff ship that I'm working on right now. Not really a prop, but in the same vien I believe.

Greetings Folks!

I'm Sudsy. I'm a pretty big science fiction fan and have been ever since I picked up Frank Herbert's classic, Dune, when I was 13 (incidentally, that is also when I took up reading avidly, amazing how that works). I enjoy SF from a variety of media, as well as building scale models and sculpting miniatures. I'm here to expand what I can build and learn how to make 1:1 scale replicas. My mind was blown seeing how simple it was to create some of the Star Wars costumes using paper, auto body resin, and Bondo filler. I'm here for more.

Now, if only I can find some Hammers Slammers/David Drake MilSF armor projects....

Greetings and Salutations from sunny (hurrah!) England, my name is Stu and I am a part time cosplayer who likes to think he can build things from other things to create better looking costumes. As a 40-something father on the autistic spectrum this sometimes causes a few issues with perfection, i.e. what I have built isn't what my mind imagined.

However, with a buddy we built a working Nerf-alike Ol' Painless minigun (we cheated a little) and I have resprayed a Nerf to go with my Iron Patriot turned G.I. Joe Destro helmet so my next project is little more advanced. Likely I'll be back for advice on scratch building stuff from various materials and possibly a little rewiring and FX equipment.

hi all Im James im 24 into all things science fiction and just starting out in prop making have a BA in fine art and run a small studio space in Bristol England but quickly becoming slightly obsessed with prop building.

Heyo, I'm Nat, I'm graduating from college in 17 days and I'm already eyeing what to use up my free time on! I'm really determined to start a Saint Seiya cosplay and I see RPF is an endless pot of resources for cosplay armor hell.
